This is written as a part of project to get a primer on every commander.

Adun Oakenshield... the O.G. graveyard value legend. Let's talk about some of the factors that make him unique among Jund commanders so we can determine a direction to build him. Impressively, at the time of this writing, this is the only Jund (BRG) commander that returns creatures from graveyard to hand. Believe it or not, only two Jund commanders cares about creatures in graveyards at all, the other being Gyrus, Waker of Corpses. So if you want a Jund commander who helps maximize value out of big creatures, Adun Oakenshield is the obvious choice. This means when building, we need to capitalize on red graveyard enablers, particularly for big creatures. Sneak Attack and Wheel of Fortune are auto includes.

How about within his home set of legends? Once again, Adun Oakenshield is the only guy that cares about creatures in graveyards. His costing cost, ability, and power toughness are quite similar to the also unusual Xira Arien. This means in all of commander, if you want a legendary creature from legends to synergize with the flavorful All Hallows Eve, Adun Oakenshield is your man.

Now the downsides: Adun Oakenshield really lacks theme. His artwork look mono-white or GW, but he's Jund. (OK, if you squint you can see the army of undead he is leading). His ability provides decent value but is underwhelming. Even though he's from legends, often your opponents will not have heard of him before, or at least never played against him before. We can capitalize on this low threat assessment to make some greedy opening plays.

So we go with a creature focused deck, with small, value generating creatures we recast while filling our graveyard with big meaty creatures that we mass reanimate for the win.

Version 1.0 - Basically just a decklist. Quite weak, will playtest and add "goodstuff" to increase power. Likely needs more instants.
