A deck I have made for my brother who has become interested in MTG. I wanted to make him a competitive deck he could take to FNM with us. It is a fairly straight forward deck that can be bought from Coolstuffinc for around $150 and is perfect for what we needed.
After the Rotation into Ravnica the deck became more expensive, but still fits the theme my brother was looking for, only more aggro than before.
Comments, Criticism, and +1's are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
This Friday at FNM, the deck was piloted by biggredd54, so congratulations for the victory go to him. Since the Return to Ravnica this deck has changed quite drastically but it's back and better than ever. The deck performed admirably, biggredd54 says the MVP goes to the little uncommon that could War Falcon .
Round 1 (2-1)- Izzet Epic Experiment - Game 1 (loss) resulted in a quick loss. After paying 2 life for a Hallowed Fountain the turn 4 Burn at the stake for 18 dmg was Lethal. Game 2 (win) Crystal Weenies earned it's first victory with lightning aggro resulting in a concession. Game 3 (win) His deck got mana screwed so he quickly conceded.
Round 2 (2-1)- Rakdos Aggro - Game 1 (win) this match was over quick, showing that Rakdos aggro doesn't have the power of U/W exalted. Game 2 (loss) the second match kept the decks aggro at bay with a flurry of spot removal. Game 3 (win) The final win can be put on the fine chiseled, protection from black shoulders of Knight of Glory .
Round 3 (2-0)- Izzet Control - In the words of biggredd54: "Game 1 Whooped em... Game 2 Whooped em..."
Round 4 (2-1)- Selsnya Aggro "I was happy to see this match-up considering all of the similarities in deck type."- Game 1 (loss) once Loxodon Smiter was soulbounded to Silverblade Paladin it was gg. Game 2 (win) War Falcon 's evasion was enough to put the deck down. Game 3 (win) this game truly showcased the reason I chose U/W aggro. Between Geist of Saint Traft and a well timed Feeling of Dread Crystal Weenies was able to bring home the gold.
Round 5 (Draw)- Bant Control - To protect their standings they decided to call it a draw. When they played for fun Crystal Weenies won it 2-0.
Overall it was a nice display of the deck, with many cards showing their worth and other sideboard cards like Lyev Skyknight , Rootborn Defenses , Precinct Captain , and Clone not seeing any play.
In his second FNM my brother finally placed top 8 by a hair.
Round 1 - 2-0 a silly 90 card deck.
Round 2 - 2-1 against a strong dungrove deck. Still managed the victory due to speed and Mirran Crusader. The single loss was due to mana log.
Round 3 - 0-2 A super fast mono green infect. 5 minutes later my brother was signing away two defeats.
Round 4 - 2-0 Red green swords deck overpowered by brute force and perfect draws both games.
Round 5 - 1-2 Similar to the round 4 deck only faster. Bad hands also plagued him on the final two losses
looks cool, but Lyev Skyknight ????? also you double your budget. i would suggest Nevermore in your sideboard, it can tear apart most decks
Add Cavern of Souls and have you tried Invisible Stalker
I'd probably get some Oblivion Ring s in sideboard, seeing as if your opponent Detention Sphere s you, you can't use your own Detention Sphere (post sideboarding of course) to exile his/her sphere.
Lyev Skyknight is there to buy time as well as being a creature that can deal some damage. I'm not interested in playing the Oblivion Ring Detention Sphere limbo, so if they are able to remove a threat of mine they can keep it :) I'm sure I have plenty ,more where that came from.

biggredd54 says...
-1 Plains , -1 card:Rogue's Passage +2 Moorland Haunt +4 Hellion Crucible <-- Yeah, i just did that. Serious about the first suggestions though. Weenies are useless when they're dead.
