This is my own take on one of the Cryptolith Rite/Lifecrafter's Bestiary combo decks that have been going around. I originally got this deck idea from SBMTG on Youtube, then decided to attempt to take it to another level. I have seen success at local events even landing a 1st place using almost this exact deck!
The main goal is to draw a Cryptolith Rite and Lifecrafter's Bestiary as early in the game as possible (playing them turn 2 and 3 is ideal). From there, each creature can tap for mana from Cryptolith Rite, and every creature you cast can draw you a card from Bestiary for just one mana. Here's where it gets fun!
Once you have these two cards in play, and hopefully a creature or two, you will be playing creatures and drawing cards much faster than your opponent. Adding a Paradox Engine to the combo can literally make it go infinite and with an Aetherflux Reservoir in play, you will easily achieve the win.
There are several win conditions which make this deck fun. Dealing 50 damage with a reservoir is nice, transforming Westvale Abbey as soon as turn 4, casting Approach of the Second Sun twice in one turn, making a huge ballista, or just beating face with a Decimator and lots of little dudes if you go that route.
And i know 20 lands out of 62 seems low.. but this deck can literally run on 2-3 lands and drawing too much land later in the game can lead to failure!
All in all hope this deck inspires someone to either play it or make it better!!
