Sideboard

Planeswalker (2)

Creature (3)

Maybeboard

Inspired by sharkudi's "Discarded and Destroyed" deck, this deck aims to keep the pressure on the board with numerous sacrifice triggers, as well as disrupt your opponent's plays and take advantage of their dilapidated hand state due to the massive amount of discarding we're making them do.

Debating on putting both Vraska the Unseen in the sideboard, and mainboarding 2 Crypt Incursion and an additional Hero's Downfall. Any thoughts regarding this would be amazing. :)

Duress and Thoughtseize: Two key cards for this deck, and our ideal Turn 1 play (Thoughtseize moreso). Let's us get a peek at our opponent's hands, and lets us disrupt their curve, or pull out any potentially troublesome threats.

Rakdos's Return: One of my absolute favorite cards. This guy is the key to getting damage through with Shrieking Affliction as well as our way of ensuring that the opponent keeps a relatively empty hand. The direct damage caveat as helpful for finishing out a game, killing Planeswalkers, and can be an impressive finishing move if we manage to get Liliana of the Dark Realms Emblem.

Slaughter Games : We keep this guy mainboarded because we're most likely going to be seeing what's in our opponent's hands every few turns, so we can likely surmise what to name when casting this card. It's great for taking out vital wincons as well as various utility cards before they come out or become useful.

Abrupt Decay: An extremely helpful removal spell that lets us deal with threats throughout the game. Useful for taking out any early game powerhouses and mana dorks. As well as various noncreature permanents such as Detention Sphere , Assemble the Legion and Domri Rade.

Hero's Downfall: Hits all the creatures and planeswalkers that Abrupt Decay can't.

Putrefy: Will eventually be replaced with Hero's Downfall, but is still a nice option, especially when we're stuck dealing with guys like Stormbreath Dragon who can't be hit with Abrupt Decay.

Liliana of the Dark Realms : Provides us with a land drop every turn, and her Emblem is a wincon with Rakdos's Return. When we're good on mana, the Swamps we grab make great food for Pack Rat. Her -3 ability also offers us either a strong removal option or a nice buff for one of our creatures out on the field.

Vraska the Unseen: Her -3 lets us take care of any pesky nonland permanents that make it through our handrip and other removal options. Her +1 acts as a passive removal option, since our opponents likely do not wish to see those Assassins come out to play.

Mogis, God of Slaughter: I have this guy listed as an enchantment because he'll likely never be animated. He's here to keep and empty board and for when our opponent's realize just how much his pings have been doing. I generally don't see people starting to sacrifice to him until they're ~10 life or have critters to spare. He keeps the pressure on our opponents, and has been invaluable in stacking with other sacrifice and direct damage triggers.

Shrieking Affliction: A one drop enchantment that does wonders in this deck, especially once they start to stack with themselves and Mogis, God of Slaughter. Does your opponent cast the spell they have in their hand, or hold onto it instead of taking the damage? This card is one of our main wincons, and (I think) is extremely underrated.

Desecration Demon : Mainly an outlet that puts pressure on the opponent. He either gets buffed or flies over for a minimum of 6 to the face. With all the removal we're running, and Mogis, God of Slaughter the board is generally empty either when he comes into play or shortly after, enabling us to bring through some big damage.

Lotleth Troll: This guy can block for days with his cheap regenerate, which is the main reason he's in here. His trample ability becomes useful if we decide to -3 Liliana of the Dark Realms .

I'll get into the sideboard shortly. Otherwise, I'm very open to suggestions and the like, thanks for checking our my deck! (Also +1's are always appreciated, if you liked the deck.)

Updates Add

Went 3-2 at FNM this week, losses were both to Midrange decks. I updated my sideboard to better lock these guys down. Burning-Tree Emissary was a problem until I remembered Bile Blight.

Otherwise, a friend of mine playing Esper Control nicknamed this deck “Forced Circumcision".

Still got some work to do, but it's getting there.
