I have only been playing MTG for about a year now. I really wanted to create my own deck so this is a mono-green aggro ramp deck that I have been creating from scratch. I am not sure that all the cards I have are the best for this deck. Any swap suggestions? Cards to add to sideboard?
The beginning of the game is great if I get any of my ramp creatures such as Llanowar Elves or Joraga Treespeaker. They work as both mana or defenders if I need them early in the game and are cheap to play. This allows me to get tons of mana out early in the game so I can play my heavy hitters.
Dungrove Elder is great since I am able to produce so many land cards. He is cheap, but can become very powerful, especially if combined with Rancor
Both
Leatherback Baloth
and
Garruk's Companion
are cheap but pretty powerful, and are great for early game play.
Also,
Bellowing Tanglewurm
is great if opponent doesn't have any green or artifact creatures since he can give all the creatures I control Intimidate.
Pretty much it is just about overwhelming my opponent with many powerful creature and hexproff cards.
Garruk Wildspeaker is a great addition to this deck, and I am considering adding Nissa, Worldwaker for a total of 4 planeswalkers!
Always looking for more suggestions! Do you think this would hold up at a FNM modern tournament?
