This deck focuses on the use of counters to win games, the idea is to buff Mikaeus, the Lunarch so he can produce an army of Powerful servo artifacts.

Here's the breakdown -

Mikaeus, the Lunarch is a dual threat in this deck. He can be used to attack or to buff every other creature you control with a +1/+1 counter.

Metallic Mimic has two possible ways to be played. You can declare it as a human and give your Mikaeus, the Lunarch an extra +1/+1 counter when he comes into play, or you can declare it as a servo and buff the army you will potentially be building.

Animation Module works in two ways, you can use it to add extra +1/+1 counters to Mikaeus, the Lunarch or to create Servo artifacts. This will be the key component for the deck. Always make sure you have access to one of these in your opening hand.

Intangible Virtue gives the necessary buff to your Servo artifacts. They will be buffed and receive Vigilance. This is important for the purpose of creating a defending wall.

Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant are solely cheap ways to gain life through the production of Servos. This is key to utilize the other creatures in the deck.

Serra Ascendant will become a 5/5 with flying once you have hit 30 or more life. In this deck with the combo of Animation Module and the numerous cards like Soul Warden and Authority of the Consuls you will have the opportunity to use this card at its full potential.

Authority of the Consuls is specifically a control and life gain card that can be cast for one mana. This keeps your opponents creatures from being able to utilize haste effects, safeguarding your Mikaeus, the Lunarch while you build.

Ajani Pridemate is another way to trigger Animation Module, as every turn you should be able to gain life in some way, this card will buff itself with a +1/+1 counter and can even be used as part of your win condition.

Path to Exile really needs no introduction. It's the cheapest way to get rid of a pesky creature card your opponent controls.

Strata Scythe is always a good way to pack a punch in a mono colored deck. This Equipment will give you the chance to buff up cards like Serra Ascendant who may have Lifelink.

Flagstones of Trokair is present to avoid land hate and destruction. If something forces you to sacrifice a land, you can destroy this one and just pull another Plains from your deck.

Anointed Procession costs quite a bit in terms of its mana cost in Modern play, but if you manage to stall the game long enough with a sea of defenders and lifegain, this card can help with your overall win condition. Doubling the amount of Servo tokens you produce with your Mikaeus, the Lunarch and Animation Module combos. There are extra copies in the sideboard of you feel like the deck can support the mana costs.
