A Mono-Black Devotion deck in testing phase. Suggestions are welcome.
The idea here it's control the hand of the opponent with the Discard, the field with some sacrifices, get a high devotion for some mana boost with Nykthos, and kill most likely by 3 means:
1- With Memory Jar, force the enemy to buy a new hand (Plus 7 damage granted by Underworld Dreams), and then wait for the next end phase. Liliana Caress will do her job.
2- With Gray Merchant, over the high devotion will drain the life that the opponent has left.
3- With Shrieking Affliction. The opponent will thy to avoid stay with 1 or less card's in hand, a way to control his/ger game. If the opponent stay with more than 1 card in hand, just discard then and stay with the damage.
Persecute it's here for the Mono Decks, a 4 mana cost to discard the opponent's hand. Waste Not it's good for some extra Draws and momentaneous Mana. Smallpox help in general control with the discard, sacrifice and land destroying, which is no problem for the low mana curve of the deck. Geralf's it's a nice creature with a nice devotion, and he Will be sacrificed, then returne with the +1/+1 and granting 4 damage for his ability.
