This is an older version of Zur I was running before my playgroup was open to proxies. My current list is here: Consultation Zur

Summary

The most competitive deck I've thrown together to date. A slower, more reactive Zur storm list that, for budget and metagame considerations, eschews Shimmer Myr and Doomsday lines and instead focuses on the more compact Ad Nauseam and Demonic Consultation/Tainted Pact lines.

Average CMC of the deck is kept below 2.0 to maximize return on Ad Nauseam.

Win Condition

Generally speaking, this deck wins one way: empty your library, then draw a card with either Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries in play.

The fastest way to get there is via Tainted Pact or Demonic Consultation, which can exile your entire library.

Failing that, Ad Nauseam supported by either Angel's Grace or Phyrexian Unlife can draw your entire deck into your hand. Phyrexian Unlife is notable in that Zur can tutor it with his attack trigger.
