Compulsive Sadism

The focus of this deck is spell recursion. You can make infinite colorless mana using the Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth + plus two additional mana combo. You can also go infinite with Dualcaster Mage + Saheeli's Artistry or Rite of Replication. The idea is to artifact ramp, then tutor and draw your way into the combo. The optimal combo is Dualcaster Mage + Saheeli's Artistry as you can produce infinite mana rocks in the process and resolve the combo with greater ease. Additionally the idea is to abuse spells like Time Warp and Rite of Replication with Relearn, Call to Mind, or Izzet Chronarch and variants. Mimic Vat, Clone, and Rite of Replication are there to ensure you can recur your spells multiple time using your Relearn creatures. Dualcaster Mage, Reverberate, and Insidious Will are there to copy your spells outright.

An alternate win condition is to RoR your Combustible Gearhulk or Steel Hellkite. I haven't fully fleshed out what's possible in this deck but RoR on Fatestitcher can make for some crazy tap shenanigans, outside of just being a good way to keep key permanents tapped down.

Additionally I'm considering adding Ghostly Flicker and Peregrine Drake

This deck is full of little synergies and it's been a ton of fun to play so far. Let me know what you think!

If you like the deck throw me an upvote :) I'd also love some feedkback and suggestions.

Thanks for checking it out!

Made another fine tune. With the addition of Solemn Simulacrum, this should help smooth out my land drop and color fixing. In addition, he's obviously a great Rite of Replication and Saheeli's Artistry target. The body, the draw, the no-brainer.

I found I wasn't utilizing Mana Flare as much as I thought I would so it got the axe. On top of giving free mana away to my opponents, it only helped me marginally. I realized this is a far better card if you're playing green/red where you'd actually be ahead in your land drop while doing green things etc.

I re-added Traumatize as it has marginally better synergy than its predecessors. With my spell recursion and ability to copy spells, it can be devastating. When paired with a timely Burn Away, that's especially disruptive.

For utility purposes I added a Take Possession. Split second speed is pricy but worth the cost. This card can break up pesky combos, it's aimed particularly at white/blue flicker control.

Capsize is another card from the original list that's made the cut once again. I needed some more permanent spot removal. Buyback gives me consistency and being a blue instant, I can return capsize from the graveyard with all of my recursion spells. It also allows me to save my own permanents and reuse my ETB effects.

Isochron Scepter makes its second appearance. Another card I had previously axed but never really got to try out. It fits the theme of spell recursion nicely and I like to pretend it's Nin's little torture tool she's holding in her portrait.

Finally, Charmbreaker Devils is a great replacement for Anarchist (who only returned my sorcceries) they benefit from casting spells and I desperately needed some more beaters, these guys fare well. Shoutout to LeonDaniels for the suggestion

Love this. So glad to see stuffy doll in there. Don't know what to suggest tho. Maybe Arcanis the Omnipotent? Or Chasm Skulker

So I really like the concept behind this deck, and I think it had a lot of potential. Have you thought about possibly adding Charmbreaker Devils? It's a great card for returning instants and sorceries to your hand, and they can get super fat in the late game.

I'd also like to suggest Cyclonic Rift, purely for the ability to clear tokens off boards. Also comboing it with Charmbreaker Devils is amazing. Throw in a Rite of Replication on your own devils, and you can pull your entire graveyard into your hand.

Ooo BABY! I love it. Great suggestions.

Charmbreakers would be a great sub for Anarchist or maybe Mnemonic Wall, since it can't attack. The rift is great too, maybe a sub for Inferno or Burn Away

The more I think about this deck the more flicker abilities I realize it wants. Any suggestions in that regard aside from Ghostly Flicker. Do you have thoughts on Ghostly Flicker's inclusion?

Also you say it "has potential" any cards you consider dead weight?

I definitely approve of the changes. This thing just keeps getting meaner.
