Small Venue for Modern as a bunch of people were missing, (my local venue isn't the biggest but it's great when people show up.)

1-2 Death's Shadow Zoo

• won game 1 through removal and playing Alms of the Vein and Collective Brutality

• boarded out mists and mindbender for mine, bile blight, mutilate, lost game 2 as my opponent had a turn 2 kill nut draw, (didn't matter what I played.)

• barely lost game 3, started off with a hand I probably shouldn't have kept, and my opponent got some stellar draws. I lost when my opponent was at 2 life (I was sad I didn't draw alms of the vein T_T).

2-0 GW Midrange

• won game 1 through discard and removal while keeping threats.

• won game 2 as my opponent kept a one mana hand that didn't work with what was in it, won through threats and discard.

2-0 GW Hatebears

• won game 1 through a turn 3 Phyrexian Crusader and great removal which kept my opponent off till they died with crusader.

• won game 2 through another crusader and Erebos giving me the card draw I needed to win. (kept a 4 land hand)

Overall I tied for 3rd place. I'm pretty proud of how the deck turned out, hoping that the grand majority of the playgroup shows up next week to see what we get for results. I'm gonna take out the Tormod's Crypts for more Ratchet Bombs and replace mutilate with Tendrils as Tendrils can hit Mirran Crusader and a lot of aggro builds. Since I have the budget I'm probably just gonna buy a couple Thoughtseize to replace Distress.
