My first take at competitive Golgari Midrange for upcoming standard. And I thought people said standard was getting weaker with rotation.

Play creatures, play planeswalkers, and eventually win the game. No, but really. You want to play acceleration like Gilded Goose and Paradise Druid into threats like Nissa, Who Shakes the World , Clackbridge Troll , and Garruk, Cursed Huntsman .

Efficient threats power midrange decks to victory.

Clackbridge Troll - WOTC MEETING ROOM - Hm. We hear that players like dummy thicc creatures. And when we give them trample, they can spread their dummy thicciness across the land. An 8/8 with trample and haste for 5 mana is fantastic, and the fact that if they don't have removal for it, he will just keep bringing value and value until your opponent cries and accepts the troll toll.

Garruk, Cursed Huntsman - The bread and butter six mana planeswalker, this time with a bit more butter in the form of two wolves for the price of one. And then he ultimates to win the game.

Liliana, Dreadhorde General - I always need an excuse to play my Japanese one.

Nissa, Who Shakes the World - The reason I stopped playing izzet phoenix. It is hard to lose the game when you slam one of these on turn three or four and your opponent doesn't have an answer

Questing Beast - If a keyword soup could have too many keywords in the keyword soup would the keyword soup be a keyword Chowder? No, but really read this card and you will understand how great it is.

Casulaties of War - Flex slot, deals with everything.

Murderous Rider - With our other planeswalker removal going the wayside, this efficiently deals with whatever our opponent wants to do.

Vraska, Golgari Queen - I hate 3 CMC permanents. Teferi, Time Raveler , Oko, Thief of Crowns , Wrenn and Six , Food Chain , and Karn Liberated are just a few examples. Well, the last three don't matter as much and Karn can't actually get killed by Vraska, but you get the idea.

Once Upon a Time - Me - Reads Once upon a Time Hm. Okay. Re-reads Once upon a Time Spits out coffee. R&D isn't always the smartest when it comes to free spells.

Bolas's Citadel - Rip in pepperoni Mr. Bolas sir.

Castle Locthwain - Replaces a swamp and provides Pleasant Kenobi Voice Waaluue. The card also benefits from a Mike Tyson pronunciation putting emphasis on the Thwwaaynneee.

The Great Henge - Who doesn't love a card that is a card draw, life gain, and can potentially be cheap to cast.

This deck is going to have frequent changes, and I will keep it updated with my results with the deck. If you like the deck or feel like cards should be included or excluded, let me know down below.
