Command Quarters Fblthp $25 Budget (By 1st_Instigator)

The goal of this deck it to get either Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries out, mill yourself to an empty library, and cast Fblthp.

With Maniac being the real wincon of this deck, and Jace being an insurance policy, we need to find him. With Citanul Flute we can find him. It's slow, but can also find us Leveler , among other creatures. Drift of Phantasms and Vedalken AEthermage lets us find out Lab Man outright, while Tamiyo's Journal does it slowly or provides card draw. Selective Memory combos with Mirror of Fate to likely win on the spot because of our commander's draw ability.

We also need to protect our Lab Mans, so there are lots of ways to give him hexproof , return him to our library , make a clone of him, or just bounce him to safety.

In order we have to mill ourselves, with Leveler and Mirror of Fate being our main ways to do this. We can draw these, or Argivian Restoration them out after milling our self.

When it comes to our commander, we have lots of bounce spells. We use these to protect Labby, or return Fblthp to our library cough command zone cough. We can even interact with bounce spells! We also have lots of ways to bounce our own Portcullis , so it doesn't worry us.

Other than these themes, we have some good budget card draw and ways to protect our life. If all else fails and Mirror of Fate , Laboratory Maniac , and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries all get exiled, we can try and mill our opponents with our Drowned Secrets and the like.

TLDR; Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries cool with Leveler or Mirror of Fate . Live and find a way to mill yourself. Our commander is a repeated card draw we can keep returning if we want.

Reasonable Upgrades

Erratic Portal and Crystal Shard are good bounce cards and work well as protection, Phyrexian Devourer , Thought Lash , and Tunnel Vision are good self mill cards, and Vision is another tutor for Labrador. Fabricate finds us some mill cards or more, and Sapphire Medallion is just good in our deck.
