This is my BRAND NEW deck. I made it Sunday (4/20/14) in about 40 minutes.
I have some color of protection.
I have some targeted removal.
I have some (not nearly enough) scary creatures and different ways to get them onto the battlefield.
I think my ramp is ok. I have only played this 1 v 1 and I won 2/3 times. I need to play this in a group of 4 to see what happens and how it plays.
Everyone assures me that I will get hated off the field and if that happens, then fine. But I hate infinite combos and people that use them so anything to slow them down is a plus in my book.
Any help here would be appreciated
I'm going to play in a local (casual/fun) tournament tonight.
I just updated my decklist and I would like any feedback that you have got.
Remember, I made this deck less than 2 weeks ago. I know that a lot of my creatures are 'bad' but just know, whenever I get the expendable cash I will be buying some more ridiculous angels :)
If you end up getting Avacyn and the like, I would switch to Captain Sisay as commander, and tutor for Teeg every single game ASAP. It is a good system. If you are looking for power houses Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
If you like these let me know.
I totally agree...Captain Sisay seems fun. People don't like Teeg as a commander, so I could foresee switching these two out for each other. I counted my legendaries last night, I only have 6 so far, so I'm a little ways out for the Capt.
As far as keeping Teeg as my general, I don't like to have too many spells with a CMC of 4 or greater, like Gilded Lotus or Skyshroud Claim. I don't think I need Chromatic Lantern, I'm only playing two colors, but I do like Basalt Monolith, I may throw that one in there. Believe it or not (I have a hard time with it) I do just fine with the ramp and low-amount of lands that I have.
I want Vorinclex. The latest card I was able to pick up was Craterhoof Behemoth, he is fun :)
Ty for the suggestions.
When you do end up getting all your big guys the deck will be much different. Also remember the captain can search up a legendary land like the shrine to Nyx or something like that.
A buddy of mine used Teeg as commander, but he just was not good enough in that spot. He changed to Sisay, and ramp. It really stinks that on multiple occasions he has done turn 2 sisay, turn 3 Mirari's Wake, search for teeg, turn 4 Avacyn, and Teeg. That is a tough game to deal with. So tough. He has played sisay on turn one, and teeg turn 2 also. This was followed by more shenanigans.
The reason that I feel sisay works better then teeg in command spot is that after one turn, sisay is not the thing to be feared. When running teeg, he is the constant target. When Avacyn hits the board, opponents are just thrown on their heels while sisay is still dropping Vorenclex and the like.
