Description

6-12-2011: Deck created. I really didn't expect to get the amount of feedback for a colorless deck.

6-22-2011: 1000 views. Thanks everyone for the comments and the +1s. I appreciate it. Keep 'em coming.

Yay for colorless!!!!

Ornithopter is for early game chump blockers.

Expedition Map and Walking Atlas are for getting my lands out faster.

Palladium Myr is pretty self-explanatory but I can also search for them as needed with Eye of Ugin . I know it's a bit much to pay 7 to search for a cmc 3 creature card but if that's all that stand in the way of cast Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre , then I will do it every time. Also, he is perfect with Myr Superion .

Prototype Portal -- I produce so much mana on average that I figure I could use the Prototype Portal -Mindslaver combo every turn until I get what I need. Also, I could use Prototype Portal with Expedition Map to search for a land card every turn for 3.

Skittering Invasion , Ornithopter , Walking Atlas and Palladium Myr can all serve as chump blockers.

I will need some help with a good sideboard to deal with graveyard hate and cards such as Sadistic Sacrament and Jester's Cap .

Edit 6-18-11: I added 3 Myr Superion s because I had them (although I had forgotten that I had them when I put the deck together). I figure I could use the Palladium Myr to cast it. I also think I could use Karn, Silver Golem 's ability to turn Ashnod's Altar into a creature and then sacrifice it to itself to produce the necessary 2 colorless to cast him.

Random thought: I just realized that Myr Superion on Prototype Portal is another awesome way to circumvent Myr Superion 's casting cost. I love it!!

Edit 6-24-2011 After talking with a friend, I decided to add Dreamstone Hedron . 6 mana is not a problem and I have the possibility of drawing three cards. Another option is Mind Stone .

Edit 6-25-2011 I added Living Wall to the sideboard. I like the ability to regenerate. I'm going to do some playtests involving Doubling Cube .

Edit 6-28-2011 I added Painter's Servant to the sideboard. It's my dream in life to use All Is Dust with Painter's Servant in the battlefield. By the way, I wouldn't use it unless I had Urzatron or a few Cloudpost s in my hand.

EDIT 8-4-2011 I removed Karn Liberated from the deck because I needed him elswhere. At the suggestion of icekilleaxx, I decided to give Jester's Scepter a try seeing as I don't have any way to counter anything.

EDIT 8-16-2011 Due to overwhelming support, Karn Liberated as made it back in the deck.

EDIT 1-23-2012 So, I decided to finally update this deck after a few months and officially remove Cloudpost from the deck. While it is a little slower than before the banning of Cloudpost , Urzatron still is an effective use of Vesuva . I also decided to add 4x Eldrazi Temple to the mix since the main thing with the deck is getting the Eldrazi legends into play.

EDIT 1-31-2012 Mind Stone is actually Dreamstone Hedron until tappedout.net changes the set that Dreamstone Hedron is in. Right now, they have it in mtg:commander instead of Rise of the Eldrazi. Also, the second Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre because he is in the database as "From the vault: legends."

Updates

I updated the deck. I'm looking to make it faster in the early game. I really want the base to stay the same. What can I do to make it faster?

May I suggest replacing Eldrazi Temple and Tectonic Edge with Cloudpost and Glimmerpost , as that could help ramp into a faster Eldrazi.

Cloudpost is banned in Modern...

I would cut Myr Superion for Wurmcoil Engine .

Is there a better card draw option other than Dreamstone Hedron ? Tezzeret's Gambit comes to mind, but it's not entirely colorless...

Why no Caged Sun ?

You can cut the Dreamstone Hedron

Caged Sun only works for colored mana. Colorless can't be chosen as a color.

My bad, sorry.

Thought colourless was also a colour.

have you considered Thespian's Stage over Vesuva ? you can have it become Eldrazi Temple for the time being but if you get the complete set out of the urza's, you can then change it to Urza's Tower to make it produce one extra mana, and be able to cast anything not just eldrazis. just a thought in looking back at this deck.

I run Tron, and thespians stage is far more useful than Vesuva.
