- 4x Darksteel Citadel
- 4x Eldrazi Temple
- 4x Thespian's Stage
- 4x Urza's Mine
- 4x Urza's Power Plant
- 4x Urza's Tower
- 2x Blightsteel Colossus
- 3x Quicksilver Amulet
- 4x Relic of Progenitus
- 3x Silent Arbiter
- 3x Wurmcoil Engine
very good. Would be hugely faster with Candelabra of Tawnos in it, for the untapping/retapping of your urzatron/cloudposts...
I had a deck like this once, you have inspired me to update it! +1 by the way...
June 17, 2011 12:04 p.m.
June 17, 2011 12:13 p.m.
Thanks for the +1s everyone.
Any suggestions for the sideboard?
June 17, 2011 12:51 p.m.
What about Chimeric Mass ? I could cast it for the needed amount and then turn it into a creature as needed and when it's not a creature, it can't be killed by DoJ or Wrath.
June 17, 2011 3:58 p.m.
+1, faved, mind if i take this to my neck FNM and give it a whirl?
June 18, 2011 3:23 p.m.
Had a few hundred(yes over 290 so far) play test matches and so far ANTs and other superpowers kill this deck but for normal wallets it's pretty good. I did swap out the posts for 4x card:Mishra's Workshop and +1 to all your other lands, but that's mostly because I prefer steadier lands. card:Ashnod's Altar tends to be a dead draw, if you can get more All Is Dust s put them in.Your side-board is pretty good, but why the Contagion Engine s? I've yet to side them in but I'm not sure about it being more then a costy -1/-1 generator. I'll try it with 2 Darksteel Forge s and some keys but I won't be really into sideboard until tomorrow night at the earliest. Are the darksteel/blight 11/11s an option or no?
June 21, 2011 11:43 p.m.
Wow, that is a lot of playtests. I don't think I've done that many. Anyway, I noticed while actually playing against my buddy that I needed a draw source. I had so much mana and nothing in my hand except more land. The four cards that I get from Kozilek, Butcher of Truth isn't consistent enough. I've decided to playtest Dreamstone Hedron and/or Mind Stone . It'll probably be Dreamstone Hedron over Mind Stone because I'm never really short on mana.
June 22, 2011 11:21 a.m.
June 22, 2011 6:17 p.m.
Quicksand is ok in my book, can i ask y ur not runnin it?
June 22, 2011 11:54 p.m.
June 23, 2011 12:49 a.m.
Yeah! Color is for chumps! BTW, more All Is Dust would probably be a good idea.
June 23, 2011 7:55 p.m.
So... I actually bought this deck just now for use in MTGO but I added an card:Akroma's Memorial and I've played 2 extremely good games and the threat with card:Akroma's Memorial is a lot. I would recommend you put that card in here.
June 24, 2011 12:12 p.m.
Yeah, I get him every now and again and I only use his -3. What did you take out for card:Akroma's Memorial?
June 24, 2011 1:13 p.m.
I think I'll add Doubling Cube . Playtests are going well.
June 25, 2011 5:42 p.m.
+1 for the great deck and giving me ideas for my own colorless Eldrazi Leik Mana deck.
I agree with your thoughts on Dreamstone Hedron ; card drawing and, until then, more mana is so versatile with the mana base you already have.
From experience with my colorless stuff, and especially the huge possibilities with so much mana to play with, I have a few thoughts in case you ever vary your strategy:
-Rocket Launcher and Goblin Cannon offer direct damage that opponents don't see coming, and can pull you a win in tight situations (for that function the cannon > launcher because of its quicker usage).
-If you're thinking of card:Feldon's Cane I would go with Elixir of Immortality instead for the life gain and possible re-usage.
-Depending on how your tests go with Doubling Cube , you might want to think about Spawnsire of Ulamog , whose 20 mana ability is always an imminent danger for the opponent. In my experience the Spawnsire even proves its worth as a replacement for Skittering Invasion for producing spawn tokens.
June 27, 2011 5:58 a.m.
Oh, and Beseech the Queen for colorless tutor... :)
June 27, 2011 5:59 a.m.
dude your on your way to 2500 views good job. also good deck, +1
June 27, 2011 9:20 p.m.
You need removal, I went 0-3 last friday, monored with Magus of the Moon or Blood Moon end this deck. Red is too fast without easy answers against these, i just sat there dieing =/Also Price of Progress would do wonders against this when i think about it.
June 28, 2011 5:30 p.m.
June 28, 2011 10:52 p.m.
I have been runnring about ~2/3 Chalice of the Void s as of now. If you can pm me a list of all your colorless card I'll look for some tricks, otherwise I'll just look though all the colorless spells in the game for an answer.
June 29, 2011 12:36 a.m.

So, I'd like to make this modern legal. Mostly I just need some help with the sideboard.
August 2, 2011 10:43 p.m.
looks good! +1
August 3, 2011 4:58 a.m.
This is clever. I really like it.
Eldrazi Conscription would love to be in this deck. It would give your Ornithopters more utility late game, in addition to pooping on people's plans. You might like Urza's Blueprints as a draw source (althought tappedout didn't recognize it when I posted this,) and I'd love to see you run Karn Liberated and use all his abilities. Or, if you only wanna -3 Karn, then run Contagion Clasp and Contagion Engine . With the amount of mana you get from Urzatron, you can exile something and replace the counters by tapping four lands (3 if you copy Urza's Tower with Vesuva.)
More cards you might like: Urza's Armor, Urza's Avenger, Steel Hellkite (Hellkite feels like a vanilla recommendation for this deck, but it could fit) card:Aladdin's Ring, card:Lich's Mirror, card:Ulamog's Crusher, Pathrazer of Ulamog , I'm gonna second It That Betrays , Not of This World , Minion Reflector (if you end up adding more nonlegendary creatures,) Urza's Factory, Assembly-Worker , Darksteel Garrison , Epochrasite
Again, I really like this deck!
PS Tappedout didn't recognize ANY of Urza's stuff. The Gatherer (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Default.aspx) will let you look things up though.
August 3, 2011 6:47 p.m.
Well this is definetly a cozy place for All is Dust....
August 4, 2011 3:01 a.m.
Um theres a funny card counter xD card:Jester's Scepter i like it seeing as its a jesters scepter and you can mess with there decks
August 4, 2011 1:53 p.m.
I think that I need to add card:Jester's Scepter. I'm thinking at least three, possibly four. What would you take out? I think -1 Skittering Invasion , -1 Dreamstone Hedron , -1 Prototype Portal and +3 card:Jester's Scepter. Any thoughts?
August 4, 2011 2:02 p.m.
+1That is an awesome idea, i wish i could afford to make this
August 6, 2011 2:03 p.m.
I love Colorless decks!! Urza's lands are so much fun. Only thing I would like to see in this deck is to put back Karn Liberated. Other than that. Great work. +1
August 11, 2011 3:35 p.m.
I just play tested this. Damn. Turn 8 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and he was the third eldrazi played. Thats crazy.
August 12, 2011 3:39 p.m.
What's not good enough about it? Usually if you have a problem with something, you try to at least give some constructive criticism. What would you do to improve it?
August 17, 2011 3:12 p.m.
August 22, 2011 1:03 p.m.
August 22, 2011 9:54 p.m.
I had a small playtest... Well, i removed 2 Skittering Invasion and add 2 Thopter Assembly and also removed 3 Ornithopter and add 2 Elixir of Immortality (good with Prototype Portal and 1 Platinum Angel and i think it is pretty good, you should try it
August 22, 2011 11:17 p.m.
August 22, 2011 11:37 p.m.
August 22, 2011 11:57 p.m.
Also 1 Staff of Domination is screaming for this deck
August 23, 2011 12:06 a.m.
+1 of courseI can't believ eno has said this but how about a couple Quicksilver Amulet ? Summon your Eldrazi for 4 colorless mana
August 23, 2011 2:52 p.m.
Actually, you only get the benefits from the Eldrazi if you cast them. It doesn't work if you use an ability to put them into play without casting them.
August 23, 2011 7:53 p.m.
August 23, 2011 9:26 p.m.
I want to keep the deck completely free of the restriction of color.
August 25, 2011 3:19 a.m.
Thrumming Stone , to help you get things out a little quicker and in more bulk.
Altar of Shadows .. Kill stuff and get extra mana, what more needs saying?
Oh! just remembered.. what about Unwinding Clock !
August 30, 2011 2:58 a.m.
January 23, 2012 4:49 p.m.
The only reason that it is registering as legacy is because tappedout.net is showing that Dreamstone Hedron is only in the mtg:commander set even though it was printed first in Rise of the Eldrazi. Other than that, all cards are modern legal and therefore, a modern deck. This same issue occured on my other deck Modern friggin' Boros v2.0.
January 23, 2012 5:30 p.m.
January 23, 2012 5:47 p.m.
Thanks for the suggestion. While it is a good combo in principle, it has never worked for this deck. Most of the time, I need All Is Dust before I have enough mana to cast any big eldrazi. Then, once the fatty eldrazi are in play, it doesn't matter if I have It That Betrays in play because annihilator will take care of anything they have to offer. With the amount of mana I produce, I won't need their lands and as long as most, if not all, of their creatures will have been sacrificed anyway. After all that, I still love the combo, just not for this deck.
January 23, 2012 6:52 p.m.
this decks wicked'...i say +1 for the 100th vote also your deck has a perfect manabase ...an your deck was added on my fiance's birthing date'..which makes this deck to my personal view' quite wonderful'...keep it up brotha'
January 25, 2012 6:59 a.m.
Love this deck so much... I always like colorless deck.
January 25, 2012 2:07 p.m.
+1 dude. After a playtest I'm really impressed by how this deck ramps up mana like crazy...
January 27, 2012 2:31 p.m.
January 27, 2012 2:35 p.m.
damn, a fiance's berthing date... shit dude, thats more then my decks ever got...!!!
January 31, 2012 12:22 a.m.
This is great but why is it listed as Legacy when it is clearly a Modern deck? (If it was Legacy there would be 12 posts.) At any rate +1, nice job!
January 31, 2012 11 a.m.
@MrCorn, Tappedout.net's database has Dreamstone Hedron as a mtg:commander set card and not as a Rise of the Eldrazi card. Therefore, it says legacy. I might change it to Mind Stone until they can change it.
January 31, 2012 2:55 p.m.
@ geoff of biscuits: Myr Superion relies completely on Palladium Myr to cast. it's super unreliable. I'd either add more creatures that add mana, or take out Myr Superion. i like the card a lot, but it's so disappointing in this deck lol
February 2, 2012 12:38 p.m.
Myr Superion works really well with Prototype Portal which is why they are both in here (plus the obvious synergy with Mindslaver). Prototype Portal allows me to circumvent Myr Superion's casting cost restriction and it allows me to put a lot of 5/6 tokens into play.
February 2, 2012 1:10 p.m.
February 2, 2012 1:36 p.m.
February 3, 2012 12:40 p.m.
Every lil'Ornithopter aspires to be a chump blocker in a deck like this. I aspire to be a chump blocker in a deck like this. +1 for epic colorless.
February 6, 2012 2:42 a.m.
Question? Why not run the 15/15? Even though the odds with running one are low. Wouldn't he be worth it? Because you can hard cast the guy no problemo with your colorless ramp. that's also a free turn and a god card that demands sacrifice. I would at least give it a run if you haven't already.
February 9, 2012 1:27 a.m.
Oh wait... Caught the description. Ignore my post.
February 9, 2012 1:28 a.m.
Dig the Tron.!!!
If you can give.some critique to my 8 post, it'd be much appreciated :
March 10, 2012 12:11 a.m.
August 8, 2012 5:37 a.m.
I was about to say this, but someone beat me to it already, but Y U NO Wurmcoil Engine ??? as well, Blightsteel Colossus might not be a bad sideboard for those annoying lifegain decks. I appreciate some advice from a fellow modern player on my 2 lists: deck:the-mcp-rg-tron--sort of a different twist on the typical gruul tron, been debating going blue green lately--and Modern Jund Aggro--a sort of modern twist on the standard deck r/g beats. Thanks in advance and +1 the deck seems really fun and packs a punch.
August 8, 2012 10:40 a.m.
Very interesting tron spinoff.... I'll have to playtest it against my attempt at tron: Izzetron
August 9, 2012 10:10 a.m.
I love the Blightsteel Colossus suggestion. It'll fit in great on the side board.
August 25, 2012 10:11 p.m.
Prototype Portal + card:Jester's Scepter is so much fun!
August 27, 2012 11:42 a.m.
August 27, 2012 8:39 p.m.
This deck is amazing. I don't play Modern, but this deck makes me want to.
Oh and I'm Simon of Hairdos
August 31, 2012 11:34 a.m.
@Vapor873: I wish more people would get the reference from Eddie Izzard. Oh, and thank you.
August 31, 2012 11:48 a.m.
Y'know, in all honesty, I'd probably go down to 1 Eye of Ugin . Starting with both has to be an auto-mulligan, and you'd only ever need one. And with Expedition Map , it'll always be there when you need it.
In its place, you could add Tectonic Edge for man-land defense.
December 6, 2012 10:37 p.m.
The Ornithopter really doesn't help much. Walking Atlas however is amazing and you should have a playset. Also, I would highly suggest card:Akroma's Memorial with stuff like Palladium Myr, Walking Atlas and Myr Superion.
December 7, 2012 6:01 p.m.
December 7, 2012 10:49 p.m.
I love this deck, my friend. Wonderful idea and you've got my +1. :D
December 8, 2012 10:28 a.m.
December 8, 2012 10:33 p.m.
Sol Ring ? Thran Dynamo ? Expedition Map ? I have a deck similar to this but it's more ramp and only throw's down Eldrazi's. Steel Hellkite Is also nice when you have some mana to ramp. Blightsteel Colossus is pretty darn good too.
December 25, 2012 8:23 p.m.
It is modern legal. Blightsteel Colossus is sideboarded for lifegain decks. Expedition Map is a staple for the deck. If I have one in my opening hand, I usually have urzatron by turn three and a All Is Dust or Karn Liberated to set up my gameplay.
December 25, 2012 8:31 p.m.
Loved the idea, i play GR Tron, and it surprise cause it only use green for sylvan and stirs and red for pyroclasm, but i love this deck, if i only had those cards
January 1, 2013 5:04 a.m.
Love this deck, price tag is painful, but still love it.
Maybe Darksteel Juggernaut ? Maybe not.
January 12, 2013 7:15 p.m.
oh and i love how this deck gets a Kozilek, Butcher of Truth out on turn 3 with ulamog following! +1.
January 13, 2013 10:53 a.m.
A 25/25 Annihilator 8 with pro colored spells/Trample/Flying? Dear lord...
January 22, 2013 3:04 p.m.
January 22, 2013 8:19 p.m.
Sundial of the Infinite is useless cause you can't activate it during their turn. Oblivion Ring needs to hit before they swing and with the extra turn will be pounding your face in before you get the chance. Tribute to Hunger requires three open mana, and if they have other creatures then good luck hoping they sac their Emrakul.
In other words, it's VERY hard to answer and almost impossible to stop. Even if it can be stopped, it's still a ridiculous thing to see
January 22, 2013 9:55 p.m.
Do you really need Eldrazi Conscription on Emrakul to win?
No, you don't.
15 to the face and losing 6 permanents (assuming nothing else attacked) will give you a plethora of turns to rebound from anything your opponent could've possibly done to Emrakul.
January 23, 2013 11:02 a.m.
True zandl but some people just like to be dicks when they play :P
January 23, 2013 12:21 p.m.
this looks like lots of fun but i fear that a fast aggro RDW type deck would rip it to shreds before it really got moving....
January 24, 2013 10:44 p.m.
@MTGNoobs: Do you have any suggestions for improving against that sort of deck or should I just hope for a God hand whenever I play them? I really want to make it better because I haven't really made any changes in a while.
February 7, 2013 9:20 p.m.
February 27, 2013 6:18 a.m.
It's a modern deck. Sol Ring isn't modern legal.
February 27, 2013 8:01 a.m.
Geoff_of_Biscuits - this whole deck isn't legal in any format... at least thats what it says on here.
February 27, 2013 11:41 a.m.
@Dreno33: I have no idea why it says that. I looked at each card individually and everyone of them says its modern legal. I'm going to ask around to see what's going on. Thanks for the heads-up.
February 27, 2013 2:16 p.m.
its working now. it says modern, legacy, and vintage legal. plus you have 62 cards in this deck. did you know that?
February 27, 2013 3:15 p.m.
Yeah, I know there are 62 cards but it works so I haven't done anything about it.
February 27, 2013 4:42 p.m.
February 28, 2013 11:07 p.m.
So I bought this deck. I traded some of the cards from the sideboard with some cards from the main deck. Norn's Annex and Not of This World . The main reasoning for this is because if I can get multiple Norn's Annex out, it makes it harder for your opponent to attack you. Also, have you ever thought about Prototype Portal with either Mindslaver or Norn's Annex ? Norn's Annex becomes a 5 cmc cast when you use Prototype Portal . That way you can avoid paying 4 life for each one you cast! :) +1 from me man.
March 29, 2013 12:47 p.m.
March 29, 2013 10:21 p.m.
May 15, 2013 5:29 a.m.
Cloudpost is banned in Modern...
May 15, 2013 5:36 a.m.
Caged Sun only works for colored mana. Colorless can't be chosen as a color.
May 20, 2013 2:28 p.m.
have you considered Thespian's Stage over Vesuva ? you can have it become Eldrazi Temple for the time being but if you get the complete set out of the urza's, you can then change it to Urza's Tower to make it produce one extra mana, and be able to cast anything not just eldrazis. just a thought in looking back at this deck.
May 21, 2013 10:44 a.m.
I run Tron, and thespians stage is far more useful than Vesuva.
May 21, 2013 2:21 p.m.
May 23, 2013 10:46 p.m.
I really like this deck and Im looking into building one similar to it but a little bit cheaper. What are some good cards for this deck that are like under 15?
May 28, 2013 11:19 a.m.
May 28, 2013 10:26 p.m.
have you considered running Lightning Greaves as they can come out on turn two and can basically just mean you get hasty eldrazi so they start annihilating immediately, also works on Palladium Myr for that turn 3 Myr Superion .
June 27, 2013 11:14 a.m.
@baron_lazari: I like that idea a lot. What do you recommend removing to make room for them?
June 29, 2013 11:51 a.m.
June 29, 2013 11:53 a.m.
you could potentially make use of a Mimic Vat if you find things are dying often. you could even exile Kozilek if someone managed to kill him, resulting in a hasty kozilek every turn for 3 mana, or draw 3 cards with 6 from the hedron as well as giving you a way to steal opponent's creatures. Also, have you considered It That Betrays ?
July 1, 2013 4:35 p.m.
I wanted to make a version of the deck thats 100 dollars cheaper. Any suggestions?
July 4, 2013 10:46 a.m.
July 4, 2013 11:04 a.m.
If you do that, you'll cut almost $200. If you want to keep the eldrazi, then just cut karn and vesuva.
July 4, 2013 11:09 a.m.
Thanks, I'm going to get to work on building this right away!
July 9, 2013 11:57 p.m.
I like this deck, +1. Since you are clearly good at making decks, could you evaluate my Elf Semi-Populate. It's the first deck I've made and I wasn as much advice as I can get.
*also note that I playtested this against my elves twice. it lost one then won one, so I guess that means they're about even.
July 10, 2013 1:16 p.m.
There is a reason tron runs light splashes into colors, going all in on the land urza land ramp opens you up to lose by your own deck's variance, out of 15 games of playtesting there wasn't a single hand I actually liked as it completely relies on getting the urza lands out before turn 4 and to hope you can ride the Karn to victory. Unless it's for casual games you probably shouldn't exchange resiliency and consistency for a gimmick (though I will admit doing so does work as a nice strategy to farm upvotes from people here on Tappedout).
July 10, 2013 7:01 p.m.
Awesome deck. care to test it out against my deck Swarm and Conquer V 2.0? Also, I do agree with Demarge slightly. He comes off as being an asshole to be quite frank, but he does have a good point about the color thing. Pyroclasm is a must to help stop aggro decks from overrunning you.
September 15, 2013 5:23 p.m.
I'd like to suggest Quicksilver Amulet if you wanted to get your creatures out extremely quickly and without waiting for the mana to ramp up --- with afew of those (I'd say maybe 3 or 4), you could get big guys like Blightsteel Colossus or your Eldrazi creatures out on turn 5 (or less if you can throw down those Palladium Myr s quickly).
If you wanted to pull out some of your Mainboard in trade for some heavy-hitting artifacts like Blightsteel Colossus or Darksteel Colossus (ect), Mycosynth Golem would be great for making your mana work a little harder for you, and has the possibility to lower the costs of all your artifacts (creatures or otherwise) to 0.
If you wanted to go with the Amulet --- I'd suggest adding in more Eldrazi creatures and other high-cost heavy hitting creatures and also: -1 Eldrazi Temple and -1 Tectonic Edge (or -2 Tectonic Edge ) for +2 Doubling Cube .
If you wanted to go with the Affinity for Artifacts --- I'd suggest slightly different land changes: -1 Eldrazi Temple and -1 Tectonic Edge (or -2 Tectonic Edge ) for +2 Eye of Ugin , and seeing if maybe you could squeeze in a few Thopter Assembly s to boost your number of Artifacts on the field.
November 14, 2013 6:27 p.m.
November 26, 2013 11:05 p.m.
It's a modern deck so Sol Ring is a no-go. Thank you for the suggestion, though.
November 26, 2013 11:37 p.m.
Oh yeah that's my bad. I read that but it didn't register. I figured it couldn't be that simple. +1 either way
November 27, 2013 12:02 a.m.
Expedition Map still has good value because with the Urzatron lands in here, it's often just as important which land you have as how many. The Map is less about mana smoothing and more about tutoring a specific piece.
November 27, 2013 2:07 a.m.
December 4, 2013 12:46 a.m.
December 4, 2013 1:49 a.m.
Quicksilver Amulet is definitely an excellent way to get your fatties down fast.
December 6, 2013 10:37 p.m.
Just wanted to say I absolutely love this deck, it's amazing!
February 5, 2014 10:13 p.m.
@Tenebrex: Thanks man. I really enjoy playing it. It may not be the strongest deck but it is definitely a fun deck to run.
February 5, 2014 10:56 p.m.
I say add 4 Darksteel Citadel because:
1.They are indestructible.
2.Imprint it on Prototype Portal so you can always have a land a turn.
3.They help with affinity for artifacts.
February 6, 2014 3:12 p.m.
+1, great deck! I love that it uses absolutely zero color.
February 25, 2014 11:39 a.m.
Why not 4 Emrakul? Also your deck needs a way to deal with aggro, particularly infect.
March 3, 2014 1:49 a.m.
March 17, 2014 10:15 p.m.
ALMOST THERE! Lol, this deck looks pretty cool, almost wish I played modern :P
March 17, 2014 10:16 p.m.
How 'bout Trinisphere , Lodestone Golem and Thorn of Amethyst ? They win storm decks instannly and are always greater pain to your opponent than for you due to your bigger mana production., except when opponent plays tron too. Sundering Titan is also nice addition to denial.
March 18, 2014 3:16 a.m.
@Colgate: Holy crap. Those are great suggestions. I'll figure out how to get them in. Any suggestions. I know that I'll be replacing Myr Superion , Prototype Portal and Dreamstone Hedron . I want to add Etched Champion for chump blocking and I need to add something for card draw. I thought Runed Servitor or Solemn Simulacrum . What do you think?
March 18, 2014 1:28 p.m.
I don't understand the point in adding Solemn Simulacrum since you have to search your library for a 'basic land card' and this deck doesn't have basic lands. The other changes, I think they are good suggestions.
March 30, 2014 1:05 p.m.
@DrLakis: I added it because it allows me to draw a card when he dies when I chump block. Can you suggest another creature that would allow me to draw? I tend to run out of cards to use because of the high casting cost associated with this type of build.
March 30, 2014 1:34 p.m.
why don't you just have like 5 forests, add Ancient Stirrings , and then Solemn Simulacrum will actually let you search for a land? tron decks shouldn't be all colorless, it's not beneficial at all other than being able to say "it's colorless"
March 30, 2014 2:19 p.m.
If I add the Forest s and other colored cards, then the deck just becomes another Green Tron deck. I think the appeal to the deck is that it's colorless. It's what draws people it.
Is it fun to play? Absolutely. Will it when major tournament? You should bet against it but that doesn't matter. I have fun playing and building it.
March 30, 2014 8:05 p.m.
If you're looking for chumpers... Wurmcoil Engine is literally the best chumper for this, at least in my opinion. Huge-ass body T3, if it dies it kills whatever killed it, gets you 6 life, then leaves 2 more chumpers on the field.
If you're going to be bringing this to something very competitive, you're going to need to watch out for Sowing Salt
March 30, 2014 8:11 p.m.
You're right, for a creature + draw, that's probably the only option. To draw you could use Jayemdae Tome but you lose the blocker and its also more mana!
March 31, 2014 3:47 p.m.
What about Ensnaring Bridge ? It would help to control what could attack. I wouldn't get card draw but it would quell one of my biggest worries with this deck.
March 31, 2014 10:17 p.m.
Ensnaring Bridge would lock down most of your win conditions(super fat eldrazi's). With a standard max hand size of 7 and no way to take your own artifact off the board, your big Eldrazi's will never be able to attack if that is out.
March 31, 2014 11:56 p.m.
I think I'll read the card better next time. Thanks for enlightening me.
April 1, 2014 12:18 a.m.
Oh no problem! Think you have a bit to check my brew out?
I just made a change in that deck and I am still not sure about it.
April 1, 2014 12:23 a.m.
Also, since you have no instants on your main board or sideboard, you should try to see if Bottled Cloister
will give you the card advantage you want.
It would be way better than your Solemn Simulacrum for draw...but you lose the chump blocker (which I dont think you need anymore of).
It would also stop decks that discard key cards from your hand in their tracks...which is VERY common in modern right now. Thoughtseize and similar. Even though sieze is only B, it will stop from them doing it late game and give you a card extra each turn...since you dont need your hand during the opponents turn, I dont see any reason to not run this card.
April 1, 2014 12:44 a.m.
April 1, 2014 12:50 a.m.
I would only run 2 Bottled Cloister and I would bump up Walking Atlas by 1 more. Reason I chose atlas is that if you are drawing more cards with running 26 powerful lands in your deck, I would guess you would need to make sure you are playing them when you can. That and he fixes up one of the chump blockers you let go with the other creature coming out.
April 1, 2014 1 a.m.
After doing some research on Bottled Cloister it has a huge flaw in it. If the bottle is destroyed or put into your hand on the opponents turn, the cards that were exiled STAY EXILED...
I am not sure if its worth that kind of risk, as that would give the game away since you would no longer have any cards in hand.
April 1, 2014 12:48 p.m.
My Legacy list is almost colorless with only 4 colored spell and with only 1 nonartifact spell. It doesn't have any card-drawing abilities. Modern is weaker format than Legacy so you should be able to go without card-drawing at all.
April 1, 2014 6:16 p.m.
Colossus of Akros for maybeboard, or sideboard. SO huge, really easy to get with this deck.
April 7, 2014 6:58 p.m.
@JexInfinite: I never thought of Colossus of Akros . However, at cmc 8, i'd rather cast one of the eldrazi fatties if I have Eye of Ugin out. If it's out, the cmc's drop to 8, 9 and 13 respectively. If it's not out, it's not a big deal either. Mana isn't too hard to come by. Thanks for the suggestion though.
April 7, 2014 10:45 p.m.
Have to say I liked your old name better. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic though.
April 11, 2014 12:10 a.m.
What was the old name again? I totally forgot. Was this the Color? Meh. one?
April 11, 2014 1 a.m.
April 11, 2014 1:02 a.m.
I think you should change it back, even though at the top of the page it still calls it Color? meh. for me :3
April 13, 2014 2:26 a.m.
Glad to see it back to what it was. I like Color? Meh. so much more.
April 14, 2014 4:17 p.m.
Wurmcoil Engine is the bestest, you need like 3 copies in the deck!
April 21, 2014 10:21 p.m.
Awesome deck, I always wanted to build something involving the Eldrazi. One thing I'm curious though, doesn't Lodestone Golem make it harder to get out your big Eldrazi guys? Because they aren't actually artifact creatures. Maybe the 1 extra mana doesn't matter here though
April 27, 2014 1:01 p.m.
Maybe you could replace eldrazi with Wurmcoil Engine or Sundering Titan , since they're more easy to cast, don't suffer from Lodestone Golem and are also enough for winning the game. Eldrazi are just overkill.
April 27, 2014 1:23 p.m.
@Rednose846: Your last sentence is the reason why I run Lodestone Golem . That and a 5/3 for 4 colorless seems to fit just right in the deck. I need to make sure that I keep the opponent in check while I get my lands out. Plus, Eye of Ugin offsets the mana increase.
April 27, 2014 1:42 p.m.
@Colgate: I run the eldrazi because of nostalgia. I started playing during Worldwake so Rise of the Eldrazi was the first deck to come out after I started. Being a new player at the time, giant creatures intrigued me. That and they have always been part of the deck and I don't handle change that well.
April 27, 2014 1:46 p.m.
Has Silent Arbiter been suggested yet? Since you mainly run creatures that are going to win in 1-2 hits with the Eldrazi Titans or stall out till you hit Karn. It helps stall your opponents creatures while providing more time for your finishers to hit the field. With it and lodestone golem you should always have the time you need.
May 3, 2014 9:32 p.m.
@mymanpotsandpans: That is very intriguing. I will give it some thought. Thanks for the suggestion.

At 6/12/11, would you have expected this deck getting this high in the rankings and in the state that it is in now?
June 8, 2014 11:59 p.m.
This deck has been THE DECK that I dream of building when I switch from Standard to Modern. I tried it in Playtest and it doesn't seem to be fast enough though. I have no experience with Modern, but from what I've seen and been told, games seem to end around turn 3 or 4. The fastest I was able to get an Eldrazi out was turn 6 on the first Playtest, but the next 2 tries were about turn 9 or 10 and I just can't see games lasting that long.
Unless I'm completely wrong about how fast Modern really is, how does this deck survive?
P.S. I think the description would be a lot better if you removed all the "edits" and just put in the descriptions of the cards that are currently being used in the sideboard / mainboard. I can't really tell if the deck being shown is the correct deck or is missing cards.
June 24, 2014 12:24 p.m.
June 24, 2014 6:02 p.m.
This might be a stupid question, but if Urza's Mine or a card similar to it is summoned, wouldn't you have to wait till next turn to use its tap ability due to summoning sickness or does that only apply to creatures ?
June 25, 2014 10:22 p.m.
June 25, 2014 10:24 p.m.
If you have a lot of Eldrazi cards, you should try out Spawnsire of Ulamog .
June 27, 2014 3:35 p.m.
@ Zaane2 If you wanna play this archetype in modern just run the R/G tron it's a lot faster and more competitive
July 6, 2014 5:43 a.m.
@meke , could you link me to that deck? I'm not very familiar with Modern so I don't really know what tron is.
July 6, 2014 9:11 a.m.
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/20-06-14-tron-green/ This is a pretty basic build.
July 6, 2014 9:45 a.m.
That would make for some great luhls.
July 6, 2014 1:28 p.m.
July 6, 2014 2:11 p.m.
I was thinking you could drop 1 Spellskite as well seeing as 4 could be a little redundant and take away from firepower
July 6, 2014 2:16 p.m.
In my opinion, spawnsire doesn't do enough. Thanks for the suggestion though.
July 6, 2014 8:38 p.m.
July 7, 2014 8:17 a.m.
@meke Sadly, both this deck and that deck cost a low of 500$ T_T
July 7, 2014 4:20 p.m.
July 7, 2014 10:48 p.m.
Oh nvm I now see that Traveler's Amulet is only of basic lands.
July 7, 2014 10:50 p.m.
negative Expedition Map lets you search for tron lands the amulet says basic land.
July 7, 2014 10:53 p.m.
Hey, really like your deck. Could you add some white for Blade Splicer .
July 14, 2014 9:59 p.m.
I honestly think Quicksilver Amulet shoud be mainboard.
Let's say you assemble Tron in turn 4, plus you have any other land. Play Quicksilver, cheat Emrakul, GG.

Hey would you guys mind taking a look at my rakdos sliver deck Rape your face!!!. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
October 12, 2014 4:54 p.m.
Hey I have a question. WIth all is dust. What would happen if I used the card Glamerdye?
October 12, 2014 5:23 p.m.
October 12, 2014 7:22 p.m.
how about Plague Myr ? I'm building a similar deck but I couldn't afford any of Karn. I enjoy the idea of this deck and am using ideas from from it. I think plague myr could help your early game a bit (have enemy aim for infect because they will go "OMFG INFECT! kill it with fire!" so you can worry about mana ramp while keeping them busy and other artifacts you listed of course lol)
November 30, 2014 8:03 p.m.
I love this deck idea but it is a bit slow for the modern format decks like affinity, infect, and the new Jeskai Ascendancy deck. It also seems pretty expensive for me.
December 1, 2014 5:32 p.m.
angeldeath why don't you just replace karn with a few infect drops then? he's by far the reason it is so expensive (besides the obvious eldrazi cards but the most is 57.99 for one emrakul and similar for kozilek)
December 14, 2014 6:14 p.m.
This is the highest ranked troll-free deck in the site +1
January 2, 2015 3:43 a.m.
How bout some Ugin the spirit dragon? Could replace a copy of Karn Liberated.
June 10, 2015 8 a.m.
What about Conduit of Ruin? It would speed up your deck and drop some of your higher cost creatures at the same time.
December 16, 2015 11:02 p.m.
January 22, 2016 5:13 p.m.
January 24, 2016 1:06 p.m.
Torpor Orb gives you fantastic early game lock down against the current Eldrazi and Podless Company decks without bothering a single one of your creatures.
March 12, 2016 7:13 a.m.
@DomRedhawk: What am I looking to disrupt by using Torpor Orb? I happen to have a few but it has been years since I've had a chance to play it. I am currently in the middle of a massive overhaul to the creature section. Would it be better as a sideboard card or do you think I should mainboard it?
@Jack-Frost: When I get an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, I will definitely add him and take out one Karn Liberated. I like the suggestion of Wurmcoil Engine but I'm going to add it as a sideboard card as a way of really changing things mid-round. And, as you can see, I added Conduit of Ruin and it is playtesting really well.
@Any others: What do you think of the overhaul? I think that adding Endless One gives me some fantastic options early, mid and late. Also, how did I miss Hovermyr? It is working really well for what I need it to do. Flying and vigilance is outstanding for my needs.
