Doran Formation (Claustrophucked Edition) Modern. This is a prototype deck working towards a toughness-based win and features the latest Assault Formation . Utilizing high toughness creatures, you can disrupt enemy tempo and swing like a truck with Doran, the Siege Tower's or Assault Formation 's ability. As a safeguard, I've added Spellskites, Loxodon Smiter , Siege Rhinos, and Anafenza, the Foremost mainboard for support. This deck is constantly evolving. Creatures Birds of Paradise - This is for early mana ramping, aerial defense, and game winner (with the right cards). Yoked Ox - A one drop 0/4 which synergies with AF and Doran. Lagonna-Band Trailblazer - Another one drop 0/4 which synergies with AF and Doran. Treefolk Harbinger - Perfect to fetch any Forest or Doran. Spellskite - This fits in nicely in this deck. Low cost, 1/4, and can save my Doran and possibly Assault from destroy spells. Nyx-Fleece Ram - The life gain each turn is a bonus. His 0/5 makes him a hard hitter Turn 3. Loxodon Smiter - An un-counterable 4/4 beater for three mana. Anafenza, the Foremost - This pumps up another attacker each turn. A utility card to eliminate undying creatures and other graveyard creatures. Doran, the Siege Tower - Doran is one of two cards that makes this deck work. It is crucial I can attack with toughness or else this deck hits a dead end. Siege Rhino - This is a stable for Abzan decks. It fits nicely as the only 4 CMC creature in my deck. Instant / Sorcery / Enchantment Assault Formation - The second most vital card in deck. Without this or Doran, none of these creatures will do damage. Its extra benefit is allowing my only wall to attack. Tower Defense - This is the best instance I found that works well with this deck. It only cost two mana and gives each creature +0/+5. Not shabby at all. Path to Exile - A cheap creature removal. Abrupt Decay - A versatile card against early annoying permanent. Brave the Elements - Nearly 2/3s of all my creatures are white (among other colors). This card can either protect my creatures from removal or make them nearly unblockable. Land Windswept Heath - This can fetch any of my Forest lands, especially Murmuring Bosk. Murmuring Bosk - I have more than enough Treefolks in the deck to have this enter the battlefield untapped. This mana production is ideal since this is an Abzan deck afterall. Godless Shrine - Sometimes I need that one black or white mana to pull something off. Temple Garden - A staple shock land for this deck. Most of my cards are mainly white or green. Overgrown Tomb - This gives me leg room to work with. I might consider more black removal as I develop this deck. Forest - Core color. Gavony Township - A utility land to pump up creatures. Sideboard Leyline of Sanctity - Protects me from card removable and burns. Torpor Orb - This is meant for strong ETB-based decks like Hatebear or Splinter Twin. This does affect two of my creatures ( Treefolk Harbinger & Siege Rhino ) but the disruption is worth it. Stony Silence - This is meant to disrupt heavily depended artifact decks like Affinity or Thron. Golgari Charm - Cheap graveyard and token removable. Grafdigger's Cage - This keeps CoCo and flashback in check. Raking Canopy - This is against flyers. Witchstalker - Perfect against heavy burn/removal decks like Grixis Control and Delver. Zealous Persecution - Another token and weenie creature removal. My Other Decks: ??Elemental Shotty??
