Ready to draw some cards and play some lands, well look no further as we exploit Chulane with many utility low cmc creatures that will allow us to protect ourselves and remove certain threats.

Ramping

This deck contains a large suite of mana creatures, allowing you that cast value even later into the game. Karametra's Acolyte will give you plenty of value, especially once Derevi, Empyrial Tactician hits the battlefield and you start untapping. You may wish to be careful with some creature like Selvala, Explorer Returned , Magus of the Vineyard and Veteran Explorer depending on what decks other people are playing.

Abusing Recursion

Vesperlark and its older sibling Reveillark are your friends. With a way to bounce creatures back to your hand or flicker you can lock out opponents by constantly casting and sacrificing Spore Frog or Kami of False Hope . If you need more lands for some reason you can recur Sakura-Tribe Elder , otherwise you can keep control of the board with cards like Caustic Caterpillar and Martyr of Frost . If you lost a sorcery or instant you can always use Archaeomancer or Eternal Witness . Having a Vivien, Champion of the Wilds on the board will greatly improve your abuse of recursion with flash.

The Engine

Once you have your commander out you can start building a draw and ramp engine. If you have Abundance out you can get what you need especially if you need more lands. Tatyova, Benthic Druid , Beast Whisperer and Soul of Harvest all greatly accelerate how fast you'll move through the deck. Stone-Seeder Hierophant will allow you to untap those lands that produce two or three mana multiple times. Derevi and Copperhorn Scout will allow you to untap creatures for extra value.

Protection

Protecting your board is important. There is a wide variety of ways to bounce important creatures, including Chulane himself, and Temur Sabertooth can be a power house. You also have access to Mother of Runes and if someone attempts to wipe the board you can activate Planar Guide .

Winning

When it comes to winning it can take a few annoyingly long turns to get there. However once there you'll be able to cast Approach of the Second Sun and if your engine is well developed enough on the battlefield, draw into it the same turn to cast again. Otherwise you'll want to be doing combat damage to end the game. Our heavy hitters come from God-Eternal Oketra and Rampaging Baloths . Even though you may be able to create 40+ power in a single turn you'll probably have to wait another turn. You don't need these tokens if you have enough mana, but they help. As this is somewhat budget we don't have a Craterhoof Behemoth or Pathbreaker Ibex to rely on. Instead we need to use End-Raze Forerunners to give everything trample and Klothys' Design to power up the team.

There's a lot to playing this deck and I still forget many triggers myself, but have fun and try out different things.
