I threw this deck together for a friend who wanted to get into the game with a "team based" deck of inexpensive cards that work together. The hope is to give him a taste of the game with a broadly competitive deck that doesn't break the bank. The result was this red-white combination that relies on red and white creatures with exert and combat tricks to boost their power in key moments. Amon-khet and Ixalan instants are present to assist with untap.

Obviously there are more mana-efficient or effective cards in standard to accomplish these goals, but I was hoping for any potential inexpensive tweaks that might improve this deck's odds against more effective/expensive decks that are out there in the meta.
