Took a few hours to design this, its meant to be as cheap as possible while remaining effective and generic. It was an exercise in deck building as well as dialogue because I got a LOT of help from people on the EDH discord. This is in no way the best 5 color mana base, nor the cheapest, but its meant to strike a good line between the two with obvious spots for upgrade while remaining effective while in its base form. Every card in the deck, outside of the 5 enemy shocks and chromatic lantern, are under $3. While of course this might not seem budget to some, I really find it hard to think of a 5 color base that can consistently get the colors it needs for much cheaper, due to the lack of enemy colored battle or bicycle lands.

The mana base was at $88.88 at the time of creation on 11/27/18.

To tune the mana base to your deck, simply change the panoramas and basic lands to suit your deck better.Take out basic lands to make room for utility lands or maybe some of the 5 color lands even.

Upgrading was also a major point of focus for this mana base; Things like Birds of Paradise , Mana Confluence , the ally shock lands, and zendikar fetches are very obvious upgrades to them deck. Things like Path of Ancestry , Prismatic Omen , and Eternal Witness are some other upgrades that might not seem as obvious.
