Sideboard

Maybeboard

This is an extremely fun deck to play. This is a deck that you play if the table is looking for a good laugh and outrageous situations that you normally never see. I will likely need to add a better mana base/more ramp, as the mana cost of many things is quite high. Suggestions are appreciated. The idea of the deck is to have as many cards as possible that create chaos, weird board states, or change the flow of the game, specifically in red and blue (as the other colors have far fewer cards that fit the theme). The goal is to make a game as confusing as possible and in some circumstances leave the fate of the game to chance.

My favorite card in the deck is probably Timesifter. I had the card in my Eldrazi deck, but took it out because it made games unenjoyable for other people. That was due to the fact the that deck had a large number of cards with high mana costs. It was more of a win condition than a chaos card. In this deck it's mostly just pure chaos.

Here are a couple stories of board states that have happened with this deck:

  1. Hive Mind is out and all of a sudden everyone at the table has an Enter the Infinite on the stack. Then before any of the copies resolve, someone casts a Counterspell. Now, because of Hive Mind, everyone has a counterspell get put on the stack, and each counterspell is able to counter the copies of counterspell lower than it on the stack. In other words, people were able to counter the other counter spells as long as their copy wasn't the first one that got put on the stack (ie. the one belonging to the person who cast it originally). It was a 5 player game and I believe 3 people ended up drawing their library. I had less than 4 mana at that point, so I was unable to cast bothLaboratory Maniac and Burning Inquiry in order to win, so I passed and I believe the first other person that drew their library ended up winning (obviously).

  2. Both I and another player had Timesifter on the board. You figure it out.

  3. My first win with the deck ended with a group hug deck (of all things) killing the other two players and then me casting Scrambleverse and killing him with his own creatures.

  4. There was an Eye of the Storm out and it had I believe 7 or 8 spells under it by the end. These included a Mystical Tutor, Goblin Game, a kill spell, an x spell which did nothing, Order of Succession, Krosan Grip, another x spell, and some others that I don't remember. This was all while Shared Fate and Risky Move were on the board as well, so the creatures that weren't killed off were being traded all over the place. Eventually the Ur-Dragon player managed to get his commander back and kill us (after having killed someone with their own 2-powered commander because he was at 2 life from having played Goblin Game 4 times)

  5. There have been many more games of this nature, and each person who has played against the deck (and enjoyed it, as it is quite polarizing) has their own story to tell. I'll continue recounting more stories as I remember them or as I am reminded of them.
