I used Chief engineer in this deck, instead using this to act like a giant springleaf drum with Convoke. I think the best hand is still what you get out of classic Modern Affinity, but what I think Chief Engineer does is turn a so so hand, opening or mulligan, into a way better hand by allowing you to dump everything.
