Maybeboard

This is Chandra. She's a red-headed, impulsive pyromancer from Kaladesh who likes to burn things. In fact, burning stuff is kind of her whole deal, although she does also make little fire creatures sometimes. Her mentor, Jaya has taught her some new tricks, and she's ready to put it all together. Let's see how it goes.

Chandra is fast, aggressive, and decisive and if we want this deck to work, we need to think the same way. Play things fast, ramping up with rocks, cheap elementals and small utility creatures in the first few turns so that you can start dropping your Planeswalkers as soon as possible and get Chandra into the fight in person. She's hardly the sort to sit not eh sidelines, or bunker down behind the barricades and wait for the perfect moment to strike. She's hot-tempered and brash, far more likely to run forward, flames pouring from her palms and scorching anything that tries to stop her.

We're going to take our lead from Chandra here, defending isn't really our style either, which is risky for a planeswalker deck, but we can make it work. Keep the pressure on to wipe out your opponent's creatures in combat when they're forced to block to stay alive as you threaten their life totals, or pick off dangerous targets with direct damage spells and loyalty abilities. If anyone is giving you real trouble, just remember, player removal is also creature removal, so burn them to the ground.

On the topic of getting rid of things, Chandra truly lives in the moment. Holding on to things for later is a foreign concept, so we'll be tossing our own cards away regularly, and drawing cards that we either play now, or not at all. Do your impulse draws first since nothing sucks more than exiling the card you really wanted because you accidentally spent too much mana beforehand. For discarding you can be a lot freer, especially with your instants and sorceries since we have tons of ways to get those back, and we have a few friends that turn our discards into damage, which is our favourite word.

In fact, the only thing we like more than damage is the word more. We have a lot of ways to get more out of our deck, from copying spells, to duplicating loyalty abilities, proliferating loyalty counters, popping up with free mana from our Planeswalkers to race forward and cast those X spells for even bigger numbers, and of course, damage multipliers.

This is a deck that wants to burn everything as soon as it shows up, while the Planeswalkers stick around and tick on to their ultimate, ticking down our opponents' life totals in the process. But don't try to play it slow. Speed and impulse are the lifeblood of the deck, and risk is rewarded. To play it, you need to play like Chandra. Have fun.
