Chainer, Dementia Master (Budget Challenge)

Commander / EDH Budget Mono-Black Reanimator

Maybeboard

This is a slimmed down (financially) Chainer build with some card draw combos, and a Cycling Subtheme to keep the deck running thin and cheap. Faith of the Devoted is a means to an end. It keeps life available to offset the Chainer lifeloss. It works with discards too, so don't forget those triggers. Also, Soul of Innistrad can return Cycling bodies to act as a pseudo-Life from Loam engine in this deck. .
Veilborn Ghoul seems really bad. Until it soft-combos with Undead Gladiator or Necromancer's Stockpile. Keep playing those swamps and retrieving you draw engine.

Meteor Golem is your Oblivion Ring out against whatever is needed.

Almost every cycling card is meant to be cycled if you are left with nothing better to do. You need to get those lands out to keep Chainer available. Remember he can activate at instant speed!

Body Snatcher is a great back-up engine with the mana-lite Sacrifice Engines

Gempalm Polluter is not just another cycling filler, you have some Zombie token generation too!

God-Pharaoh's Gift is a slow-roll backup engine if you are fighting lots of board wipes or counterspells

Trading Post, Key to the City, Undead Gladiator and Necromancer's Stockpile will help if you start to flood with lands. I recommend using the fetches to thin the deck and keep lands moving. Journeyer's Kite is a card draw engine that either helps you move towards multiple activation of many things, or at least keeps you from stalling. +1 Swamp in hand is still 2 cards a turn.

Keeper of the Dead and Crypt of Agadeem want those cycled bodies in the graveyard asap. Keep digging.

Burnished Hart and Wild-Field Scarecrow being brought back is not the worst option if you need to push for more mana. Wander in Death can be friendly for these two, or 2 cheap cycling bodies.

Krav, the Unredeemed and other "Draw" outlets probably should eat the Mana Dorks once you have a land engine moving.

Yahenni, Undying Partisan is not just an outlet. It is meant to be a sole survivor of standard Wrath-effects. In a pinch Without Weakness can sometimes save Chainer; Remember that.

Demon of Dark Schemes is your Back-Up for Chainer. Keep an eye on opponent's losses to keep proper Energy available.

Endless Sands is an old effect, but it can save, reuse, and otherwise setup a post-Wrath boardstate.

Disciple of Griselbrand is arguably the best Sac-Outlet (#2 to maybe Viscera Seer). Expect anyone who knows what you are doing to kill/nerf it fast.
