Maybeboard

A dreaded sunny day
So let's go where we're happy
And I meet you at the cemetry gates

My spoopy bois are back again, slowly grinding their way to a combo finish like a solemn classical poem that gets real out of control in the last stanza

Including all of my favorites:

  • grindy reanimation (Meren babe I'm sorry I've been led astray)
  • S M O L  B O I S
  • decc can protecc but also attacc
  • 3-card-minimum infinite combos
  • too many 4-drops
  • dying to Blood Moon , Back to Basics , and Rest in Peace *
  • dying to my own painlands, life loss effects, life payments
  • dying to the Meren player reanimating faster and stronger than me

A resilient deck full of small creatures with neat ETB triggers that accrue value while controlling the board and always have a good reason to attack somebody (politics is when you can convince people that your hands are tied).

I have won with Ob Nixilis beatdown before, but usually the deck wins with the following combo:

Metallic Mimic / Sage of Fables / Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Glen Elendra Archmage / Puppeteer Clique / Murderous Redcap + a free sac outlet give infinite ETB/death triggers. Redcap can kill directly from this position, otherwise Judith or Blood Artist ping them to death; or Goblin Bombardment does it, which acts as both a sac outlet and a damage source.

What I like about this combo is that no part of it is useless on its own, every card involved is good in a value game plan as well. You just grind along until you amass enough components to go off. This has quickly become my favorite deck, as it's supremely fun and super rewarding to play!

Some way to use Intuition :

*As a Grixis deck, my answer to enchantments are: Chaos Warp , counter, bounce, discard, and Praetor's Grasp –target the green player and get their good removal–cast it off my Fellwar Stone / City of Brass / Mana Confluence / Darksteel Ingot –it's not easy being non-green...
