This is my most recent build of Kambal Prison Stax CEDH deck. I have been playing some form of Kambal prison for the last 3 years. This build is the most focused of all the builds i have worked on–with a main focus on the classic stax cards (excluding smoke stack. In older versions i used to run a life drain package with cards like Debt to the Deathless, but i have found that version of the deck is to slow for the CEDH format (Most of the people i play with play Doomsday). If you have the cards or the cash you could add Tabernacle, Nether Void, and Chains of Mephistopheles, but those are outside of my purchasing power. I feel like they would add significant advantage, but not necessarily enough to justify the price of them. This deck is for the kind of person who enjoys playing magic by playing as little magic as possible. This deck is a sit there and watch other players try to play around your prison or stax effects. It is possible that you can become the first target in the group, but the deck is slow and likely does not present a threat for at least 6-10 turns. I feel like Kambal Prison stax has a good "anti-meta" position in any play group as it has ways to effect both creature-less and creature decks (mainly creature decks can be a problem which is why a good pillow fort package is necessary). Some say you need to be a masochist to play a deck like thus, but i see it as an alternate control deck. This deck at its core is passive control which allows the player to relax and enjoy being with friends.

I have listed the cards in the side and the maybe sections that can be swapped to have a stax core or life drain core within the deck. The life drain core is fun and casual where the stax core is for CEDH.

This deck has potential for 1v1 edh, but Humility, strip mine, top, and winter orb are banned and would need to be replaced with cards that function similarly. I don't this any of these are necessary to the deck, but they are nice additions and i believe they are required for multiplayer play.
