Sideboard

Ever since Journey to Eternity was revealed, I've been in love with it. Reanimator tactics are always incredibly fun and with the decent amount of HUGE creatures and ways to discard cards in Golgari right now I've decided to put this together.

The gameplan is simple:

  1. Get out a cheap creature early on
  2. Enchant it with card:Jounrey to Eternity ASAP
  3. Get it killed, either by using your own Yahenni, Undying Partisan or simply crashing it with something else
  4. Dump any big thing you find into your graveyard and keep reviving them turn after turn for 5 mana

liliana, death's majesty is obviously a massive help for this plan, seeing how she can both fuel your graveyard and act as a revival spell and, if you really need to clear the board, even works as a board wipe. Try to land her as soon as you can to mill your deck.

As for the revival targets, Carnage Tyrant is deadly against blue decks once it hits the board, Greater Sandwurm throws itself into the graveyard for just a cycle and its ability can be surprisingly dangerous for token strategies, Tetzimoc, Primal Death can easily give you back control over the board and, having one in your graveyard and one in your hand, lets you nuke the opponent's field fairly easily each turn by reviving the graveyard copy. razaketh, the foulblooded is the newest addition to the deck, meant as both just a huge threat but also as a sacrifice outlet, allowing you to easily trigger additional Journey to Eternity to benefit off of the ETB effect of Tetzimoc or the Noxious Gearhulk in the sideboard twice for only 3 mana. Ghalta, Primal Hunger probably needs no explanation. He's the biggest creature available and has the upside of often being castable if even one revival goes through.

As for the Sideboard, it mostly just consists of various cards that can help in most match-ups, as the meta is still fresh. Noxious Gearhulk is helpful in place of Tetzimoc against other decks focusing on few but large creatures and can also be run in the Maindeck instead of Tetzimoc.
