Green and white Cat-Tribal deck based on using Lifelink to either stall out burn decks or get yourself to 40 life and drop a Felidar Sovereign with a Blossoming Defense in hand. If you play this deck from a defensive angle, this strategy may be more viable than seems on paper. Retaining all of your creatures with Lifelink to block keeps from taking damage and quickly inflates your life pool. This gets even better when you're able to make favorable trades, especially with Blossoming Defense or Heroic Intervention.

Unblocked Oketra the True + Blossoming Defense = 10 dmg

Gideon of the Trials really shines in this deck for two main reasons: His +1 ability keeps any major threats your opponent has down every turn, and his ultimate ability buys you a lot of potential stalling time. For three CMC and the ability to smash for 4 and Indestructible, I'd say he's a great fit.
