Lord of Tresserhorn was the first single I ever purchased. I was so in love with the 10/4 stats for 4 mana that I forgot my EDH deck only had around 15 creatures in total which made this unplayable. I put it in the back of my trade binder and made a promise to myself that I would one day make this work. It's been a few years now, but I finally did it.

Having 10 power that can hit the board reliably on turn 4 lends itself very well to a Voltron/Infect commander. A lot of the deck is dedicated to getting sacrifice fodder onto the board or granting some sort of evasion to Lord of Tresserhorn. It is a guaranteed 1 hit kill with Infect, and it just takes 1 extra damage to make it a 2 hit Voltron kill. The ETB trigger is pretty bad so the whole deck curves out at 4 to offset that. Drawbacks matter less when you are casting your bombs before others are done ramping.

As a side note, this is labeled a budget deck even though the price is around $80 at time of writing. Nearly half of that comes from the 4 most expensive cards and some foils so it wouldn't be too hard to trim down the price. Nothing over $1 is needed to make this work.
