This is my attempt at making a cEDH deck for a local tournament. The skill level over there can be quite humbling to go up against, and with the current meta at the tournament location here, aggro is probably the weakest of decks. Which is why I say "Casual" Slivers...

EDIT: This could probably be classified as a "75% EDH" deck, since I chose Slivers/Aggro because I think it's fun, and that is really what I want to do (but mostly I want to win the tournament, and play for fun AFTER)

The house rules: Show

at this tournament they do not allow an infinite combo to be used more than 4 times in a turn. No more than 2 extra turns in a row. No one can "win" the game before turn 6, but you can kill people before turn 6.

Combo Components & Tactical Warfare: Show

Mana combo pieces: Gemhide Sliver, Manaweft Sliver, Basal Sliver, Mana Echoes, Leyline of Abundance, Cryptolith Rite, Ashnod's Altar, Morophon, the Boundless

Haste combo pieces: Blur Sliver, Cloudshredder Sliver, Heart Sliver.

Token combo pieces: Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, Anointed Procession, Sliver Queen.

Creature ETB pieces: Lavabelly Sliver, Constricting Sliver, Impact Tremors, The First Sliver, Aura Shards.

Surprise, I win!: Spiteful Sliver + Blasphemous Act (Usually requires several other slivers in play)

Creature ability reduction: Biomancer's Familiar, Training Grounds, Heartstone

There are a lot of combos and synergies in this deck that can suddenly win the game. (I will add the individual combos later because there are so many of them)

Ramp/Recursion: Show

Non-combo mana sources: Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Faeburrow Elder, Birds of Paradise, Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, Grim Monolith, Fellwar Stone

Card Advantage in this deck will mostly be from its tutors & scry. If I get absolutely desperate, I can Arcane Denial my own spell to draw 3 cards.

Tutor: Demonic Tutor, Grim Tutor, Imperial Seal, Enlightened Tutor, Eladamri's Call, Bloodstained Mire, Windswept Heath, Wooded Foothills, Farseek, Nature's Lore, Safewright Quest, and of course Sliver Overlord.

Scry: Path of Ancestry, Temple of Deceit, Temple of Enlightenment, Temple of Malady, Temple of Malice, Temple of Plenty.

Card Draw: Timetwister, Wheel of Fortune

Amoeboid Changeling is also a great creature removal when used with Sliver Overlord's "Gain control of target Sliver" ability.

The Line of defense: Show

Shroud/Hexproof/Indestructible: Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, Alexi's Cloak, Crystalline Sliver, Sliver Hivelord, and Teferi's Protection.

Counter: Mana Drain, Dovin's Veto, Arcane Denial.

Countermeasures to counters: Root Sliver, Winding Canyons, Quick Sliver (Quick Sliver removed for now)

The "SIDEBOARD" Show

I know that EDH does not typically use, or even have the opportunity to sideboard, but I have figured out a way, and it is not even against the rules the way I am doing this.

Since everyone has their commander revealed on the table before the game even starts, I will know what I am up against and be able to take the appropriate measures. The way it will work is like this: My deck and deck box, will have several groupings. The main deck with no removal spells or other non-combo pieces. Next there will be several small groupings, each with the same number of cards, each designed to take out a specific commander, color, or meta. After adding the desired sideboard grouping, my deck will equal 100 cards. If necessary, I will just cherry-pick the number of cards I need to add. I'm still unsure of which cards to put in the expendable pile for sideboard, but this will be a very flexible thing that is true to the slivers greatest strength: Versatility.

Pretty simple, right? Is this a sleazy thing to do? Probably! but hey... I'm playing SLIVERS. Did you really expect a fair fight?

DECK EDITS Show

Removing Seedborn Muse, Awakening, and Coat of Arms to add Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, and Grim Monolith

Traded out Scour from Existence & Oblivion Ring for Anguished Unmaking & Krosan Grip

took out Temple of Triumph, Temple of Abandon, Temple of Mystery, Temple of Silence, Temple of Epiphany and added Yavimaya Coast, Godless Shrine, Steam Vents, Sacred Foundry, Grove of the Burnwillows.

Taking out the Negate and adding Mana Drain since it will help me ramp, and is able to counter more win-cons.

I might add Star of Extinction as soon as i figure out what to cut to make room for it...

More edits: adding Wheel of Fortune and a Fellwar Stone and taking out the Swiftfoot Boots and Quick Sliver

Edit: replacing Alexi's Cloak with Vitalize to be able to swing for the win after putting most of my deck into play.

Edit: changing out Two-Headed Sliver for Teferi's Protection since Menace becomes pointless very quickly once I get going.

So, that's what I have so far. It needs to be faster to compete with these people at the shop. They are well aware of my ability to just suddenly and without warning win the game, and as a result tend to take me down first, regardless of anyone else's terrifying board state...

Any advice to kick this deck into high gear would be greatly appreciated!
