Cascading Slivers

Noble

Description

Someone said on tumblr that "cascading slivers" were the two most terrifying words they could think of in magic. Welp. Here you go. (Also, MAN most of the good slivers are two-drops).

I have the one grotto in there to give me black mana if in some cruel world I've not drawn any multicolored manafixers. But in reality, the Expanse is probably better, so I'll likely swap out for that.

I've also made some edits to the top of the deck's curve to give it more variability (and to give Battering SliverMTG Card: Battering Sliver/Fury SliverMTG Card: Fury Sliver something to cascade into), particularly by adding ward sliver to the 5 cmc spot in place of a Necrotic SliverMTG Card: Necrotic Sliver (thank GOD for Homing SliverMTG Card: Homing Sliver).

Trying to find a place for Plated SliverMTG Card: Plated Sliver (I really want an actual sliver that the deck's 2-drops can cascade into).

This is REALLY neat, and I may have to build this one myself for my casual group!

Question, as I don't play many MtG variants: Why the general? This doesn't appear to be a Commander deck... Is the Maelstrom Nexus supposed to be in this deck? How many?

It may be a noble deck? If so, you can still add 2 uncommons.

My bad, you do have 4 uncommons.

This is for Noble format; in Noble, you have one "Noble" rare that you set aside in the Command zone at the start, to be cast at any time in the game. After you cast it, it's a regular card.

The fun trick about this deck is it can usually play Maelstrom Pulse around turn 3 or 4. And then it can start cascading out slivers, which is real fun.

+1! Building this right away, after I dismantle my current Sliver deck!

Virulent Sliver and Plated Sliver would indeed be fun.

You could take out Quick Sliver and a Muscle Sliver for a Virulent Sliver and a Plated Sliver .
