Card Funeral is a competitive 8-Rack Modern deck on a budget.

If you are new to 8-Rack, this deck makes it easy. Remove your opponents options by making them discard cards. Try to get rid of one of their cards on turn 1, two of their cards on turn 2, and 2 more cards on turn 3. You could take out even more with cards like Smallpox at your disposal! The opponent then takes repeated damage from The Rack and Shrieking Affliction until you win.

8-Rack decks have their weaknesses and Card Funeral is no exception. In fact if your opponent wants cards in their graveyard you'll be doing them a favor. Leyline of Sanctity is another dangerous Sidedeck obstacle. That's why we Sidedeck Nihil Spellbomb and Ratchet Bomb. You are welcome to send me more card suggestions for the Sidedeck.

This deck is very hit and miss depending on your opening hand and the opponents opening hand. Basically it can win against almost anything as long as the hands are right. However Card Funeral does win reliably against certain matchups like against decks that have too high of CMC. It's been very fun and affordable and I'd recommend it for anybody trying Mono-Black 8-Rack for their first time!
