The idea behind this deck is to get fast mana and tutor up a hatred combo as soon as possible.

The main inspiration for this deck was the idea of combining Cao Ren, Wei Commander's Horsemanship ability with Hatred to win-- Paying 18 life and swinging with Cao Ren.

I also threw in a Nether Shadow for its haste leading to a possible turn 1 victory. If I can get 7-8 mana turn 1, which is achievable through Dark Ritual and mana rocks, I'd be able to swing lethal with Nether Shadow by paying... 39 life to Hatred. Requires the perfect hand but still fun.

Inkmoth Nexus and Plague Stinger were added to allow for a slightly more forgiving Hatred victory, allowing me to only need to pay 9 life as opposed to the typical 18. This is more desirable for multi-player games where I'd have more than one opponent to worry about. And I'd likely have all eyes set on me after obliterating someone ina single blow. Their Evasiveness works well too.

Bolas's Citadel is the centerpiece to one of my other combos as it has rather quickly became a mono black staple. The main combo uses Sensei's Divining Top and Aetherflux Reservoir to essentially play my deck. But I can also use this and Blood Pet to gain life and win through Aetherflux Reservoir.

Bolas's Citadel also does well when paired with Viscera Seer and Haunted Crossroads. Using these three cards allows me to sacrifice and resummon any creature I want, as many times I want so long as I have the life and one black mana to do so. I mostly intend to use this to with Kokusho, the Evening Star and Gray Merchant of Asphodel whose life gaining effects allow me to do so till the cows come home... Or until Kokusho wipes the table.
