Note: Part of this deck is under revision, the change in strategy with the addition of Phyrexian Obliterator and Ammit Eternal is not yet reflected below. Also new strategies with Demonic Tutor, and a better understanding of MTG's rules since I first made this deck.

My first (and only?) attempt at a powerful Wish deck! Being able to summon any cards in your collection is great, but the costs are steep, so this deck focuses on repeatedly using Wish spells, and using twelve cards to cause subgames.

The Deck Strategy

This deck has a crazy idea: use Burning Wish and Death Wish repeatedly, without their drawback affecting the main game. The backup plan is to use Ammit Eternal and Phyrexian Obliterator in the early turns to tear into your opponent, or make a subgame work in your favor and turn Enter the Dungeon into a double Demonic Tutor.

When a subgame ends, all cards in all zones of that subgame will be put back into the main deck, including the cards in exile. This means a Burning Wish used in the subgame will be put back into the main deck of the previous game, allowing it to be used to repeatedly find various silver bullets to use against your opponent when you want to close in for the win.

Subgames are accessed using Enter the Dungeon , because Shahrazad is $400 each (100 times more expensive) and they're legal in the same formats: none. Enter the Dungeon is also black, which prevents the colors from getting too complicated for the speedy mana base. Early Wishes should be used to get more copies of Enter the Dungeon into the deck, effectively letting Burning Wish and Death Wish act as copies 5-12 of Enter the Dungeon .

Early Game

Early turns are spent getting the main game into a subgame as fast possible. Early Wishes should be used to get more copies of Enter the Dungeon into the deck, effectively letting Burning Wish and Death Wish act as copies 5-12 of Enter the Dungeon . You have pretty good odds of pulling at least 1 of twelve cards out of 60 in the opening hand of your deck, and with all the mana accelerants, it's not hard to get the table into a subgame on the first or second turn.

Midgame

Midgame is where things get really crazy: you can cast Enter the Dungeon while in a subgame from Enter the Dungeon to further mutilate everyone's decks and sanity. You can Wish for more copies of Enter the Dungeon to have in your deck and use repeatedly. This shouldn't distract you from the goal of figuring out what deck your opponents are playing, and what cards will be crippling to them when you get back to the main game and need to finish off any players who haven't quit. Storm and burn spells are great for quickly killing people due to low life totals in the subgame, and mana accelerants upping the storm count.

Endgame

The deck's endgame involves throwing out creatures such as Phyrexian Obliterator , Ammit Eternal , Phylactery Lich , etc., and beating your opponent down with mana-efficient bodies. Worst case, all the fast mana in the deck means you can grab Lich's Mirror and use it without being set back when it triggers, especially in a subgame.

Someday, I'll try getting a bunch of Chancellor of the Dross to wish for instead of Enter the Dungeon , so subgames eventually become "tutor two cards".
