mtg, mtg cards, magic the gathering, gaming, geeks
Bonfire of the Damned (This +Snapcaster Mage is a win con)
Angel of Serenity (Not the best win con, But great flying semi-board wipe)
Tamiyo, the Moon Sage (emblem wins it for you)
Jace, Memory Adept (can mill for the win and combos with Azorius Charm )
Assemble the Legion
Just want to point out
alright Ertl, the sheer amount of burn in this deck is a win condition in itself believe me i own the deck and its a headache for all my friends, none of the things you suggested even remotely work with auger (which if you haven't noticed, it practically runs the deck.)mizzium mortars is, if anything, something i can cast early game and snap back. supreme verdict is on the sideboard as well. this deck is geared to be well rounded against every kind of deck (or at least when i posted it) and the main board lets me do that then, after game one i can switch cards around like geists for example. moorland haunt is good, but i cannot afford to get mana screwed when i need the mana most.
if you haven't noticed this deck was modeled after the deck that took second place in the grand Prix, coming second only to The Aristocrats. I'm pretty sure that infinite life, burn spells and reckoners and angels are enough win conditions as it is. this is not a control deck its a midrange deck so extremely slow cards like assemble the legion and tamiyo are not welcome. btw boros charm lets me save my stuff from blasphemous act and/or supreme verdict so how exactly is terminus better?
Extremely slow cards like Assemble the Legion and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage are exactly what most midrange decks use for win conditions. And I agree that terminus needs to show up somewhere between the main and side boards for super aggro matches that can also use boros charm.
Also, the deck came in second at Pro Tour Gatecrash, not a grand prix.
