Deck Description

This is my Kalamax deck that I am planning on building instead of my Mizzix deck (link here: Izzet a pun?) which I rarely play anymore.

I am building this deck to not include any infinite combos (e.g. Kalamax + Reverberate ) as it is going to be much more enjoyable for everyone (including me) and I am pretty sure it is going to be strong enough for the casual meta I play in anyway.

Any suggestions are very appreciated. :)

Cool Synergies

• copying spells with additional costs in general works well as you don't pay them again

• you can cast Whir of Invention with equal to 0 and put an artifact land onto the battlefield

• Isochron Scepter is just really good with Kalamax no matter what you put in it (e.g. Manamorphose , Thrill of Possibility , Snap )

• Holdout Settlement , Survivors' Encampment and Cultivator's Caravan are good ways to tap Kalamax if you can't attack anyone or he has a summoning sickness

• Young Pyromancer / Murmuring Mystic / Talrand, Sky Summoner + Return of the Wildspeaker
