By "arbitration" I mean no. (GAAIV Control)

Commander / EDH Competitive Control WU (Azorius)

DarasuumKote28

A bit like previous iteration, but with more power. The most powerful card in MTG is the credit card.

A very straightforward GAAIV control list. Our playgroup uses a combined banlist of both the French and Commander bans, so Strip Mine and Sol Ring are missing, though I swap them in when at FNM (LGS only uses regular Commander banlist).

Edit: With the French Duel Commander banning of Mystical Tutor, I'm putting in the Sol Ring and Strip Mine. I'm only going to play this deck at FNM or in settings where my group's banlist is irrelevant.

This deck fairs extremely well against my playgroup in 1 v 1s, where it faces decks such as Prossh, Narset, Niv-Mizzet, Xenagod, Sharuum, and Savra. (It does struggle somewhat in multiplayer.) It plays very smoothly, establishing a control lock sometimes as early as turn 3, which is something most of the green-based decks in my playgroup simply can't deal with. I can slowly 1 for 1 and 2 for 1 my opponent at a mana advantage until I land a threat and and beat them to death, or simply bury them under card advantage.

I have a multiplayer version here. This version is much more focused on static effects to prevent opponents from outpacing my ability to control them. It's actually fairly bad since I don't really have any Winter Orb/Stasis effects.

If people get tired of playing against control, I can swap out generals to Geist of Saint Traft for this list. I suspect this is a "worse" deck than my current build, but it should play differently if my playgroup gets fed up with hard control.

12/25/15: Acquired remaining fetches. Realized adding Karakas would be a good idea. I'll do that at some point in the future, when I get a chance.

Turns out Karakas is very banned, which is reasonable, and explains why I've never seen anyone running it.
