Sideboard

Maybeboard

A BW zombie modern deck. The reason I chose BW is it has several advantages over other color combinations. Its advantage over mono-B is the addition of several white zombies, both old and new, better sideboard options (except for Rest in Peace. We have some graveyard shenanigans of our own), along with Path to Exile. Next, there were BG and abzan zombies. The advantage of those is Collected Company . It was also the only major green card that I really wanted, so I scrapped that. I don't want to be splashing green for company, Lotleth Troll and Putrid Leech . And that is how I ended up on BW.

Note: SPOILERS ARE IN PROGRESS

2nd note: I will list each interaction only with the cards listed before said card. Example: Cryptbreaker interacts with Gravecrawler in a way that gravecrawler can be discarded to cryptbreaker. Also you can tap summoning sick gravecrawlers to draw cards since they cannot block. I will list these interactions in the gravecrawler slot since that one comes after cryptbreaker.

I did a bunch of 1-game rounds on X-Mage (cause I'm too poor for mtgo) since my sideboard isn't fully developed. Here are the results

R1- played against a UB deck that aimed to draw many cards and trigger chasm stalker. Also played Thing in the Ice  Flip. Both of us got flooded, but he had more removal, Snapcaster Mage and stuck threats. LOSS

R2- A deck that I could've sworn was Restore Balance. Person claimed it wasn't, didn't get a chance to see much as I flooded the board with zombies. WIN

R3- An infect player stuck on 1 land and heirarch and no infect creatures. WIN

R4- same card draw guy from round 1. His only threat was a thing which I pushed. He couldn't draw into another threat. WIN

R5- UG ramp that missed second and third land drops, but got a fair amount of power on board using a Precursor Golem. Overwhelmed him in the end.

R6- played against merfolk. He out-tempoed me with a bunch of lords and that one merfolk that bounces stuff. LOSS

R7- don't remember the deck, but I do remember a WIN

R8- Panharmonicon deck. Only threat was a Geralf's Messenger and a small thing. Got overrun. WIN
