BW Flicker Control on a Budget

Modern* Budget Theme/Gimmick WB (Orzhov)

Sorcery (2)

This is a control deck. I hate aggro players, so I wanted to make sure it stood up well against aggro. Sideboard options like Kor Firewalker and Blind Obedience exist to help with this even more. The general strategy is to have a lot of ways to eliminate threats, while also giving myself a lot of ways to keep my own threats on the board. Every creature synergizes with flicker, except Hypnotic Specter which is just a good card. I went heavy on 3 drops to maximize Sun Titan value.

This deck has card advantage tools, flicker, and resurrection -- all of my favorite mechanics in mtg. The only card I really wish I had access to is Restoration Angel and more dual land. Every card costs less than 2 bucks, with the exception being a single Godless Shrine that I have access to already. As I'm writing this, I think Whip of Erebos would work well since it's cheap and I can flicker things to keep them in play. However, I don't really have any way to discard fatties like Ashen Rider so the Whip wouldn't be as good for cheating things onto the board.

Edit: Okay, now that I think about it, Whip would be insane. It has crazy Obzedat synergy, and the Sun Titan value I'd get from the Whip's haste would be bonkers too.

If I had better lands, I might consider splashing blue. However, I think this deck is pretty decent as-is.
