This is simple, yet effective deck that has won more than its lost. It's effective in maintaining/gaining life while having a strong creature base. Creatures like High Priest of Penance are great for deterring your opponent from attacking you, while Erebos, God of the Dead and Athreos, God of Passage are great for controlling what your opponent can do. Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim is great for sacrificing and ramping life gain, especially if Blood Artist is out and/or the creatures you sacrifice are enchanted with Gift of Immortality. Sun Titan enchanted with Gift of Immortality is a ridiculous combo that loops if you have the mana available to support it, especially if Grave Pact is out. Journey to Nowhere's, Mortify's, and Tragic Slip's are great for keeping your opponent in check for those creatures that are giving you a hard time. Blind Obedience's are great on keeping aggro decks in check. Finally, Extinguish All Hope is in my deck to clear the board when there is just too much out to handle, while keeping most of your own creatures alive.
