Burning Vengence
Mono-Red Burn deck
Made some minor fixes while I wait for the rest of the cards I need.
Standard-legal is good, I don't do a lot of Tournaments but I'd like to keep it open for play at the local hobby-shop tournies, you know? A lot of the card choices were origionally made simply because it's what I had on hand, ((I'd switch out Gut Shot for another Lightning Bolt in an instant. i also agree about Tower of Calamities being way too expensive, it's one I'll probably trade out in favor of Chandra, the Firebrand once I get one. Given a choice, I'd also like to trade out the one each copies of Goblin Grenade , Fling , and Artillerize for a single set of 3 Goblin Grenade s to use with the Goblin Arsonist .
Well, standard rotates on September 30, and after that only Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Besieged, New Phyrexia, M12, and Innistrad will be legal.
However, you still have about 2 months to capitalize on all the other sets in standard still being legal.
I would look at your board and see the interactions between instants/sorceries and all the other elements of your deck, including Chandra. For example, card:Chandra's Spitfire will probably turn out to be one of your biggest bombs. Between the instants, sorceries, Chandra, and the pinger creatures you have, the Spitfire will likely end up being the way you deliver the most hurt. You should probably mainboard 4 of them to take advantage of that.
I'll certainly keep the Spitfire in mind. I'd also prefer to trade out some of my singles for multiple copies of certain cards ((like Saberclaw Golem and Perilous Myr in favor of additional Prodigal Pyromancer s or Cunning Sparkmage s, especially since the myr would be harder to utilize if I went with strait Goblin Grenade s.

Some questions: Do you care if this deck remains standard-legal? Is this something you would like to improve on with a limited collection, or something that you'd like to use as a base for eventually expanding into a strong competitive deck?
Warstorm Surge is not very useful, since you don't have many particularly big creatures, and no token production.
Lava Axe is kind of sub-par burn, since it's expensive, sorcery-speed, and not very versatile.
Gut Shot is also sub-par, since it lacks the power to justify using it. Shock , Galvanic Blast , and Lightning Bolt are all better.
Tower of Calamities is a really expensive way to kill a creature, especially without mana ramp. It's possible to have games where you never even get up to the 8 mana for the activation cost.
Overall, not a bad start. There's obviously ways to improve, but it's something you can build from.
