Hello, and welcome to my Demigod of Revenge loot-aggro deck!

Much of this deck is dependent on loot effects like Faithless Looting and Burning Inquiry, by either pitching self-recurring creatures into the bin (Flamewake Phoenix and the Demigod), or by gaining value out of the discarding of cards (making Flameblade Adept enormous, and making Hollow One a potential 0cmc 4/4).

The power of the deck lies in our ability to rip through our library at incredible speed, having explosive earlygame potential, and knowing that if the game does go long, we can topdeck better than other similar Burn / Zoo decks, like Red deck wins, Bushwhacker, Infect or perhaps even Death Shadow and Humans.

What exactly is an optimal play pattern for this deck?

Well in the early turns we want to thin out our deck asap, as well as put early pressure on our opponent. Ideally, this would mean playing Bloodstained Mire, grabbing Blood Crypt (or a Mountain if our opponent is a Burn player), then either playing Flameblade Adept. However if you have Burning Inquiry and even 1 Hollow One and Flamewake Phoenix in hand, I would go for a turn 1 Burning Inquiry. If the random looting leaves you with a Phoenix in the bin and a Hollow One (or two, or three!) in hand, thats sets you up for to play a 4/4 (or several) for free, along with having Formidable online for next turn!

A turn 1 Faithless Looting may seem appealing, but because most of our beaters care about cards you've discarded that turn like Flameblade Adept and Hollow, you'd likely only cast Looting turn 1 if neither of those cards are in hand, you're out of lands and only really have high cmc cards. Looting works best on turn 2, as you can cast it into your turn 1 Adept, and you'd have 1 land untapped to pay for a Hollow one.

This decks only form of ramp is Sarkhan, Fireblood, and it only ramps you into Voracious Dragon -- which is cool and all, being able to play the flyer and something else along with it, but it's definitely a weak point, showcasing that we may get outpaced by decks like Elves that can pump out buckets of mana.

What do we have in our 15?

Our sideboard consists of popular answers for popular metadecks in the format. 2 Dragon's Claw for Burn / Bushwacker, 2 more Kolaghan's Command for Affinity / Control / Ensnaring Bridge, 2 Liliana of the Veil to board in against Infect, Voltron and Bogles, 2 Stinkweed Imp against Jund and Zoo, 2 Tainted Remedy against Soul Sisters, and finally, 1 Volcanic Fallout and a playset of Surgical Extraction to bring it all together as decent board control, and the easiest answer to reanimator, as well as a reliable way of saying "no more of that card"!
