My longest-running deck. I've had a Burn deck since 1998 and have modified it over the years. This is my tentative iteration, although the sideboard was removed from the deck since the last time I played it in a tournament, so it's just thrown together.

Burn these days can be a much faster, more consistent deck than was possible several years ago. The core group of cards responsible for this are the cards that can deal 3 damage to an opponent for a single red mana and no other costs, specifically Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Lava Spike, and Rift Bolt. These cards, along with Fireblast, enable a quick, aggressive style of play that doesn't rely on creatures and can consistently outrace all but the fastest creature-based aggro archetypes.

Burn will never be the best deck in Legacy, but because it doesn't rely much on mulligans or board position, relentlessly attacking the opponent's life total, it is one of the easiest decks to play.

Well, I have finally updated my maindeck. I'll be testing this some more to fine-tune it. This deck is in a weird sort of spot. Some of my card choices (Price of Progress, Eidolon of the Great Revel) are generally good against a likely field of Legacy tournament decks, but I didn't really build this with the Legacy metagame in mind, and most of my list is meant more to be fast and efficient than to be good against typical opponents in competitive Legacy. I'll eventually take this deck in one direction or the other, either tuning it for Legacy competition or making it more of a generic casual deck. We'll see...
