This was once a standard deck during the Return to Ravnica block that has been converted to be Modern. It's main elements are to just blow up creatures and continuously nuke the opponent to a smoldering mass while denying any attempts of the opponent to cast spells. This isn't a tournament level deck but just a fun deck. Updated: Feb 7, 2019
16x Creature removal:
3x Anger of the Gods : Board wipe, not lethal to my creatures who have 4+ toughness
1x Beacon Bolt : Late game nuke and great discard fuel for Tormenting Voice
1x Crater's Claws : Late game finisher or big creature removal
2x Fiery Temper : Flexible nuke and perfect discard fuel for Tormenting Voice with madness cost
2x Fling : Late game finisher and large threat removal, but usually used immediately after a massive drake attacks.
3x Lightning Bolt : Super cheap removal and nuke players as well
2x Mizzium Mortars : Kills most creatures by itself and late game board wipe
2x Izzet Charm : Burn little guys or finish off big ones
11x Draw power:
4x Tormenting Voice : Tremendous draw power. The best cards to discard are: Take Inventory , Beacon Bolt , any other instant/sorcery.
4x Take Inventory : Immediately discard if you can with Tormenting Voice , when you draw into your second, third or fourth one it'll give you tremendous draw power!
2x Izzet Charm : Fantastic draw and discard mechanic perfect for this deck!
2x Keranos, God of Storms : Tremendous whenever you draw a land and not so bad when you draw anything else either!
1x Ral, Izzet Viceroy : the +1 effects speeds up the deck immensely and the ultimate is a great finisher.
1x Niv-Mizzet, Parun : Not the greatest fit but I pulled this recently and decided to update this deck.
9x Counterspells:
4x Negate : Since there is so much creature removal, we can just focus easily on noncreature spells.
3x Stubborn Denial : Used when opponent is tapped out or whenever your drakes get big enough to deny anything at will.
2x Izzet Charm : Pretty much play when opponent is tapped out for easy denial.
9x Creatures:
4x Enigma Drake : Selected for it's high toughness so that it can survive Anger of the Gods . This is your go to main attacker and prime target for Fling finisher.
1x Crackling Drake : Late game finisher and doesn't care if your spells are exiled though much harder to summon than Enigma drake. Can also be used with Fling
1x Nivix Cyclops : Early game blocker and can take some nice chunks off the opponent after nuking their creatutes. Get some sneaky punches in. Can also survive Anger of the Gods .
1x Niv-Mizzet, Parun : Nasty flier with some nice effects though is kind of hard to summon.
2x Keranos, God of Storms : Though it takes a lot of devotion to blue and red to become a creature. It can happen when Nivix Cyclops and the drakes are out. 6/5 indestructible is pretty neat, right?
