The basic strategy is that most Fungus cards have an ability where you can remove three spore counters and put a Saproling into play. By themselves, Fungi only get a spore counter on the upkeep of your turn but that can speed up by using Thelon's activated ability to exile a Fungus card from your graveyard to put a spore counter on all Fungi that you control.
