Tempo Yuriko EDH deck that tries to activate Yuriko's ability every turn starting on turn 2. Cards in this deck generally fall into these 7 categories.

  1. Low-cost evasive creatures. These set up ninjutsu. Always try to have 1 in your starting hand.
  2. Ninjas. These proc Yuriko's ability. I used to run more of these, but i just have a few key ones now that double as another category.
  3. Cards that enable my ninjas to bypass blockers. These are key to keeping the Yuriko procs consistent every turn
  4. Answers. Mostly counter-spells, with a small amount of targeted removal as well, and a few niche answers for graveyard/lands and the like.
  5. Tutors. Key in any black deck, use these to grab your cards that get Yuriko through, or grab a finisher.
  6. Deck Manipulation. Manipulating the deck can not only get you the cards you want, but can also ensure high damage procs with Yuriko's Ability.
  7. Finishers. These are mostly extra turn spells, but also includes combos like Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top . Insidious Dreams can also be a finisher by setting up combos.

Many cards in these categories also have high CMC, but are cast for cheaper, either via split cards, delve, or other cost reduction.
