Ever since I started playing Magic again, when Return to Ravnica came out, I've wanted to make a deck with Uril the Mist Stalker. It has everything that I naively like about magic: obscenely powerful creatures, really tight synergies, and cards that wouldn't normally see play.

This is also my first official EDH deck. I improvised the mana base from the professor's video on 3 color mana bases, and use cards I had that also seemed like they would fit. I was happy that there were so many utility lands that gave Uril evasion or a bonus effect!

I knew that using so many enchantments would allow enchantresses to help me draw a ton of cards, so I went back and found as much enchantment ramp and removal as possible.

I used Wind's of Rath, Divine Reckoning and Chandra's Ignition as one sided board wipes, while Creeping Reniassance, Retether and Nomad Mythmaker give us recursion so we don't get blown out. Then I added in creatures to take down opponents if Uril keeps dying like Krond, Yavimaya Enchantress, Danitha, and Thran Golem.

Lastly, I tried to add in as many spells as I could that could give both utility and one shot kills. Boros Charm can defend the team or kill an opponent. Naya charm can bring back a huge piece or tap down a board. I have several enchantments that come back instead of hitting the yard, totem armour for protection, and lastly ways to flash in enchantments like Sigarda's Aid and Epic Proportions for big surprise kills.

I borrowed heavily and was inspired from too many members of the TappedOut community to count, but thanks to everyone who posted their decks before me. I upvoted you all! Constructive criticism is appreciated, but I'm still a casual player and some cards are more fun favorites of mine than strictly competitive.
