This is a budget version of the various standard Golgari decks that have been floating around since the release of GRN. Rather than playing a balanced midrange game, this deck doubles down on the Undergrowth mechanic, dumping cards into the graveyard and ramping in the early and mid game, and then beating down before the opponent can catch up.

The list saves a lot of wildcards (or money) by including only a few non-creature spells, and most of the high-rarity cards are 1- or 2-ofs. The idea here is that you usually don't want or need two copies of many of those cards at once. For example, we don't get double the power from having two Underrealm Liches on the battlefield, and there's no bonus Surveil from a second Doom Whisperer.

There are still some cute value combos here, like Molderhulk + Memorial to Folly, just wrapped up neatly in a budget jacket. Obviously, you should consider upgrading both the land base and creatures as you acquire more cards. I don't recommend adding more than a couple non-creature spells to this deck, or else it strays into territory where the Undergrowth effects get less and less reliable. Make sure to run four copies of Hatchery Spider vs. a control meta. Consider Chupacabras over Findbrokers if you need more removal, and Rhizome Lurcher for an even budgetier brew in place of more expensive cards.
