Budget Jeskai Ascendancy combo deck for modern. First Modern deck I've built.

The idea is to get a few manadorks out, play Jeskai Ascendancy, and then go off using the massive amount of cantrips, until you draw grapeshot. Then just grapeshot for a few million, or simply swing with the manadorks for lethal if there aren't blockers on board.

In the case of infinite life or other foils for this finisher, a sideboard Laboratory Maniac can provide an alternate wincon, since between the looting effect of Jeskai Ascendancy and the massive amount of card draw, it is relatively simple to deck oneself.

The manabase is, I think, shaky. I didn't want to include fetches and shocklands, simply to keep the cost down. Were I to include those two, I would drop down to about 16 lands, with this setup:

3x Breeding Pool

2x Flooded Strand

2x Steam Vents

2x Stomping Ground

1x Temple Garden

2x Windswept Heath

4x Wooded Foothills

Things missing: Sylvan Caryatid and Noble Hierarch instead of Harabaz Druid and Utopia Tree. Manabase, obviously. Obviously the deck suffers from not having those, but it keeps the average price somewhere around $100, rather than $500-$600.

The sideboard is something I'm totally lost about- threw some good-seeming cards in there, but who knows how useful they'll be.
