Budget Mono-Black Lifelink Vampires

Modern*

Malacronious

Maybeboard

This is my first attempt at building a deck so its more for getting some practice than anything else. I may purchase these individual cards to play with for fun and then upgrade to a stronger vampire deck later.

I'm going for a budget deck and I wanted to build it around some lifelink synergy.

Any feedback is much appreciated. :)

Update: So I finally decided to proxy this deck last night and got a chance to play test it during lunch today. A friend of mine has been playing the cursed zombie deck from the dual decks set and I lost a ton of prior games to that deck with some of my other decks. This deck destroyed the cursed deck this game and I'm interested to see what happens next time. Overall I was very happy with how the deck played and had a ton of fun with it.

One thing I will change at this point is to sideboard 2x Feast on the Fallen and bring in 2x Tragic Slip. The deck performed the way I expected but I didn't have any removal to get in a quicker win. With more Tragic Slip in the deck I'll have a better chance of cashing in on the -13/-13 when I sac a creature to use Indulgent Aristocrat to pump my vampires. Feast on the Fallen is some nice added counters but really I had more than enough with Indulgent Aristocrat and Bloodbond Vampire and there were periods where gaining life felt much more reliable than dealing damage to the opponent. Feast on the Fallen sat in my hand the entire game because I had better cards to play.

Second thing I want to do is add in cards that I can pay life for. By the end of the game (a long game mind you) I had 36 life (at times I was as low as 16) and it felt like much more than I needed. I'm going to start looking at some pay-with-life cards to bring in. Until I get a solid feel for the avg amount of life I have to play with per game I don't want to overspend it but I'll at least sideboard Dismember so that I can start to push that comfort zone.

For a budget newb deck, I'm super happy with the results. We'll see if it answers to more experienced players who are wielding stronger decks though.
