The reality is, if you want to run modern infect, it's going to have to include Phyrexian Crusader. Period. And it's not super cheap. Here's my effort to build a budget shell around that card.

Early hand disruption doesn't need to be specific, it just needs to limit options and fill the graveyard for the Runechanter's Pike. Cheap removal at instant speed with cost because our life total is nothing but a resource at this point. We're racing to 10, not down from 20.

It tests OK so far and the sideboard is far from great. But all things considered it's a pretty fun way to play mono black. Feel free to leave feedback.
