Since seeing Lurrus I've been wondering about if it may be possible to abuse the nightmare cat somehow. Off I go to EDHREC. Current listed themes? Aristocrats, sacrifice and lifegain. BORING. Done to death in Orzohv colours. I did some brainstorming and came up with some possibilities:

Lurrus deck themes?

• Aristocrats
• Sacrifice
• Lifegain
• Aristo-cats (tribal haha)
• Hatebears: Play some hatebears, recur them, ???, profit?
• Auras: Aura decks are cool, be nice if I could recur the best ones if my creatures die. Ethereal Armor, All That Glitters etc
• Artifact Combo?/Eggs?: I play artifacts. A lot. I like eggs and comboing artifacts. Lets brew.

Recursion Value

So you get to play one nonland permanent on each of your turns. What are some things you can recur for max value? Most of these fall under the categories of draw, protection and removal. Protect Lurrus and other and combo pieces with Selfless Saviour and Benevolent Bodyguard. Remove creatures and enchantments with Executioner's Capsule and Seal of Cleansing. Draw some cards by recurring eggs such as Chromatic Sphere and Conjurer's Bauble. You get the idea.
